What's a refferal?

In your profile there is something called a refferal. It says I have one but I don't even know what it is....HELP!

A referral is a negative thing. It usually is gained by breaking the rules in some way, i.e. spamming, flaming, show of lack of respect to other ZU'ers. If you got a referral and do not know how, then you should ask the mods how, by asking in the Feedback and Questions forum. I wouldn't go do that right away, if this needs to be moved a mod will move it, or someone will answer you.

A referral isn't actually a strike against you, I believe...merely something that moderators put in your profile as a bit of a "Hey, look out for that guy" kind of thing.

Or so I believe...I don't know for sure. I've never gotten one, and hopefully, that's a good thing.

It used to be that "x" amount of referrals could lead to banning, but I think they have revised it to deal more accurately with the severity of the offense and whether or not the person is a chronic problem.

Ok then, umm.....oops? I don't think I flamed anyone, or if I did I probably didn't mean to...hmmmm It might have been that whole gay adoption thing....yeah, um...oops...

What are referrals?
The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum.

You gain referrals by promoting Zelda Universe Forums using your unique referral link. The link you should use as your referral link is this:

Each time someone follows this link to Zelda Universe Forums and registers as a new member, your referral count will be incremented by one. The number of referrals you have can be viewed in your profile.

Uhh, actually, a referral is when someone registers at ZU and notes down that you referred them to the forums. Definately not a bad thing...

Oh good. I was pretty sure I didn't break any rules. But I did tell someone to come to the site, I think her name was Ravenfairy or something, she goes to my school. Thanks for the help guys (and gal).

Perhaps its because so few people have them. That would lead to confusion.

But, if you notice, Anakin has one, I have 2, and various other people who I know don't break rules or anything have multiple...so powers of deduction, as well as a nifty thing called the "FAQ," tell me referals are not bad...
