I am new id like some tips

hey im brand new to this form, and have no clue how 2 use it...
can i have some help please?

Here are some tips: capitalize "I"s, say "to" instead of 2, put apostrophes in contractions, capitalize letters at the beginning of sentences(basically don't use leet),and read this. I mean that in the nicest way possible, because if you use proper grammar and stuff, your recognition will go WAY up. Welcome to the Universe and I hope your stay here is awesome! EDIT: Oh, and get adopted.

For a newbie, like you, I recommend getting adopted at "Adoption Central" to learn the ropes from an experianced member.

Getting adopted means you'll be 'adopted' by an older member, who will show you the ropes of all this forum stuff. If you have lots of questions about posting and whatnot, it might be a good idea to get adopted. You can do that by following the link Cass posted.

And by that thingy showing up when you post, do you mean the 'page not found' error? Yeah, that's a problem. Scott, the main webmaster here, is working on fixing it. As for now, you'll just have to press the Back button on your browser whenever it shows up.

oh, and i have another question...
I have a folder with about 500 pics of anime and animated gifts. But when I go to the sig thing, it says to type in the url. How do I get the url of some of my pics and animated things?

You'll have to put your sig image up in the Internet. There are several sites where you can do that, for example www.imageshack.us. Just enter your pic and press the 'host it!' button, and your pic is uploaded to the Internet.

Then right-click the picture and choose 'Properties'. There you'll see the URL of your image. You can copy it by right-clicking and then paste it where you want it.
