Adoption Center

New Adoption Center up. The old one was slowly reaching is limits and since the rules are now slightly changed, I decieded a new AC was in order. Check the rules to see what has changed. Some members has been removed from the Approved Adopters list. If you see your name missing, send me a PM.

For all you new members:
Adoption is about gaining a friend and guardian. Your adopter will help you out when you're in trouble, give you advice on how to act on the boards and be a good friend overall. Trust your adopter, listen to what he/she tells you and follow the advices you're given. If you find yourself in trouble and don’t know what to do, just talk to your adopter. If you feel wrongfully accused of breaking the rules, ask your adopter for support.

For those interested in becoming adopters;
Are you able to be online and answer whatever questions your newbie might have, and that in a friendly way?
Can you keep a friendly tone even if your newbie doesn't understand the first times and needs more help?
Will you protect your newbie if it gets in trouble, no matter what? And can you set a good example for your newb?



~~ RULES ~~

~ Adoptees ~

• Member from 1 day to 2 months/If you're still very uncertain about what ZU is and how it works
• Request to be adopted here and tell a bit about yourself
  

~ Adopters ~

• Member for at least 3 full months.
• Minimum of 50 posts.
• You may only adopt if you have 3 warning points or less. Preferably less.
• In order to adopt, send sadida or Trico a PM where you explain why you want to be an adopter and why you think you’re suited for it. Name the PM “Why I want to adopt”.
• Once they receive the PM, they'll look it through. If they find you suited for adoption (this is judged by your behavior on the boards), you can go ahead and adopt.
• If they for some reason think you are not suited for adoption, they will let you know why, so you can change and maybe be able to adopt later.
• You’re only able to adopt one newb every two weeks. If there's a lot of new members and no one that offerst adoption, you may take more than so. Use common sense.
• Maximum of 4 newbies/adopter. Don't take more newbies than you can handle.
• Newbies are not toys. Think of them as little forum users.
• Guard your newbie, help him/her out and be a good parent.

~ Chat ~

• When you want to be adopted, say so in this thread.
• When you have been approved of adopting, say so in this thread.
• When you want to show that you're still available for Adoption/Adopting, you might, in some cases, post in this thread. No ranting though, please.
• When you feel that your newb is ready to take on the world of ZU on its own, say so in this thread
  
• When you want to joke around or chat with your new Member, use PM.
• When you want to talk to someone in this thread, use PM.

Hi so how do i go about this does someone pick me?

I want to adopt but before I send a PM telling why I would like to know:
That 3 months thing,is it 3 months away from when I started or beginning when I started? If I am to adopt,it has to be the 2nd one.....

The three month thing is based on your join date. So if you joined April 1st (for example) then you would be allowed to aply for being adopter on July 1st.

I'd just like to point out that no one that's joined 2005 is allowed to adopt yet. See, if you joined on January 1st, then you can not adopt until April 1st.

January 1st + 1 full month =
February 1st + 1 full month =
March 1st + 1 full month =
April 1st

Ok I was recently approved to adopt, so mabey a little about myself would be a good idea.

Im a 17 year old guy, originally from Scotland, but I now live in Wales. I love music, especially really over the top rock operas, and classic rock and roll - I think i came a few decades to late. I also really enjoy modern music, although it has to be said that most of what I like does appear to be influened by my supreme rock Idol David Bowie, and my favourite current band would have to be the Scissor Sisters. Im also passionate about films, and I adore most genres, particularly the off the wall styles of Tim Burton.

Im really not interested in religion, and I know that alot of potential adoptee's would prefer to have somebody adopt them who has a faith, and if you do then sorry, I'm not the right choice at all. Im accepting of all people, no matter how unconvential their lifestyle, so don't worry about anything like that.

At the moment Im posting in the Battle Arena, a kind of RPG area on the boards, so I guess anybody interested in that would be a bonus, although I'm hardly an expert.

Anyways, hopefully I'll find somebody to adopt on here.
