Well, first of all, we need to get you to the right place.

This is the new member's board, where new people, like you, can introduce themselves to the older members.

So, welcome to ZU. This is a great community and I'm sure you'll find lots of fun things to do here. The first thing you should do, is take an extra look at the rules. It's always good to know them, no matter where you are, and in a message board, it's even better. If you follow the rules, the risk of getting in trouble will lessen.
Next, take a look at the Newbie's Guide to the Universe. There you'll find advice on how to act around here.
I also suggest you check the Adoption Center. Just write there that you need help, and a friendly member will come by and adopt you. Your adopter is supposed to help you out in any situation and be a good friend overall.
If you still need help after that, ask a mod, such as me, for more help.
So, jsut be a nice member and you'll do fine

cuz i dont get how 2 get those pix 4 example(under ur name) or wut avatars r, all that stuff...thats the stuff im worrying bout....and,the green manican is msn, the red "y!" is yahoo, the flower is icq(which i never heard of), but wuts the yellow manican?aol?oh,wutever, but does one of u guys want to chat with me?msn?tomorrow evening ill be there....answer soon pleez!

If you want to be adopted (I strongly recomend it), you'll need to get to the adoption center. And the symbols for the various messenger services that you talk about, well, you go to your profile (Quick Links, Edit Profile) and there you write in the right section what your aim/msn/yim/icq name is.
As for avatars and signatures, in case you want one of those...go to a sig shop (another section, under the General Chit-Chat) and ask ONE shop to make you a signature and/or avy.

Heh, joey my friend, if you want to talk Zelda, you should skip over to the Zelda specific boards and get into one of the discussions there. This thread is for other members to get to know you. Not all members visit this place, so if you want others to notice you, you'll have to venture out of the Newbie board. And if you do want to get adopted, you'll have to get into the adoption center. All those that have posted in this thread are allowed to adopt you, but only if you ask to get adopted in the right thread. You can always explain that you want a certain member for adopter.
