Anyone know anything about Chris Houlihan today?

I'm sure everyone here knows about the Chris Houlihan room in ALTTP, but I've tried finding anything about the actual guy himself, and to no avail. Where did/does he live? What did he do in this "contest" to win? Is there anything known about him today? This subject just fascinates me for some reason.

Any info would be great. Thanks.

Lol, no, I just find it interesting. I can't really explain it. I mean, this is some random dude who is a part of Zelda history. Great stuff. And it strikes me as weird that you literally (or at least me anyways) hear nothing of the guy whatsoever outside of the actual in game content. I mean, if I was in ALTTP, I'd be screaming it from the top of my lungs. But that's just me haha

He's out there, somewhere... and we will find him...
And the last time I checked, it was called the 'Potent Col Room'...

^ That says nothing about Chris Houlihan other than the fact that he won a Nintendo Power contest back in 1990 to have his name put in the game. It seems there really isn't any information about him at all on the Internet, other than that.

I have no idea what has become of him. Maybe he works at NoA and is called Cammie Dunaway .

Nintendo actually wanted to put him IN the game as a reward, so that he
could explore Hyrule for a while, but the device didn't work properly, and he
was sucked into the game irrevocably, his name data was seen in that one room...

Yeah, that link tells us nothing about Chris himself.

Chris Houlihan might be an alias of a famous hacker.

I can't swear to it, but I thought I read somewhere on some Nintendo forum that he passed away. I could be wrong......

Chris? I know Chris, Well, I know a Chris Houlian, but it might not be him. He lives in Florida.

How do you get into this room?

Here's one of the ways.

I don't get it. I tried dashing-grabbing the buish, then going in, nothing happened.

If I'm not wrong, you have to do it as fast as you can, there is a time limit since the game starts.

Nobodies not finding anything probably because he is/was insignificant to the world and just won a contest for a magazine. I mean if you try to type your name in google and expect atleast 1 result about you, you probably won't get it.

I typed my name in before and the first result was my dad's First Federal Bank profile (we have the same first name).
