What is Your Fave Dungeon in ALttP

What is your favorite dungeon in a Link to the Past? Mine is the Ice Palace because of the puzzles. It's boss was a bit lacking for ALttP standards though. btw I coundn't fit all of the dungeons in on the poll, so sorry about that.

Turtle Rock for sure. Whenever I played it when I was really young, it was inconceivably difficult and creepy. It just feels so isolated and alone.

I liked Turtle Rock

the water gate dungeon...where you had to keep changing water levels with various switches to get to certain areas. yeah, I loved that.

Ice Palace!

Turtle Rock. Lots of fun there. Had a good boss too. Loved the beamos eyes inbedded into the walls!

Turtle Rock is my favorite because it is unique. Using the Cane of Somaria to make your own platforms to cross gaps and stuff was great, and I don't think there's been any dungeons that do that since. Whoever the developer was who thought up Turtle Rock was a genius.

Skull Woods was really cool because it had so many entrances and exits in the 'overworld'

I'm...going to say, errr, I'm not sure, really. Tough choice between Turtle Rock and Ganon's Tower.

On one hand, Ganon's Tower starts off with pretty confusing, yet very clever movement between two spaces, both in the underground sections of the Tower and then moves into some really fantastic action in the upper floors, making for an overall challenging dungeon in both ways. I also liked how the first three bosses were there. Cool stuff there.

Turtle Rock, however, had a labyrinthine dungeon with a really eerie mood and complicated rooms, as well as a very complex dungeon overall and...

...y'know, the more I think about it, the more I realise how well built and deeply structured Turtle Rock is in comparison to Ganon's Tower. The Tower might be very challenging in both ways, but it still keeps it very straight-forward and simple. Turtle Rock, however, is complex and keeps you checking the map and trying to navigate properly, but yet not overly so. Combine that with the great boss, and you've easily got the best dungeon in the game!

Speaking of complex dungeons, the Ice Palace actually does beat Ganon's Tower, too, for the exact same reasons as Turtle Rock does, right down to the bloody boss!

Maaaan, back in the day they'd actually be able to create marvelous dungeons WITHOUT every other puzzle revolving around the item you find in said dungeon. Hell, they'd even create complex dungeons without having to resort to all these awfully gimmicky puzzles they do these days! They really need to combine the complex designs from back in the day (ALttP and LA's especially, those two really excel at that) with them puzzles they have today!

turtle rock ftw, i always found this dungeon fun, and it had an epic boss

Like most others, I'd have to go with Turtle Rock. I thought it was pretty unique and well-designed. I especially liked the mirror shield and having to do some things like walk into doors backwards so the lazer eyes above the doors wouldn't beam you. On top of that, it had my favorite boss, Trinexx.

Other than that, though, I really liked the swampy area (Misery Mire, I think?). It wasn't terribly difficult, but still pretty interesting.

I always liked the Tower of Hera best. I liked battling Moldorm and for some reason, climbing all those floors. Only thing I hated was when I got knocked off the platform when I tried to defend myself from him
