Should I play AoL?
I've played and beaten every Zelda game but this one and OoS. I don't think I'll ever get to play OoS unless they decide to put gameboy games on VC or dsiware. So I figured I should try AoL. I know that this game is RPG-esque and that if you're gonna play it, it's not gonna feel completely like Zelda, and I'm prepared for that. But I need to know if it's gonna be so frustrating that I'll just never play it again. I can barely beat the first Zelda game, and Alttp is still pretty hard for me. I just wonder if I should spend the 500 wii points for it. Any suggestions?

I personally hated it, (If I want Castlevania-like gameplay, I'll play Castlevania.) but we're all entitled to our opinions.

Adventure of Link is extremely difficult, and in my opinion it is the worst Zelda game (so far). But go ahead, why not?

Re: Should I play AoL?
Truth be told, AoL is my favorite of the NES games. I enjoyed it much more than LoZ (not to say that LoZ was a bad game or anything). Yes, it is frustratingly difficult, and at times you may want to throw the controller down and have a fit of rage, but it is well worth the time and effort put into it. Finally playing your way through a temple and beating a boss in AoL is one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've ever had (sans Shadow of the Colossus, as that game is just pure win).
The RPG elements add a whole new factor that Zelda hasn't explored before or since, and I personally found it quite enjoyable. The usage of magic as more than just superfluous design elements and actually being required to use it to beat the game was also nice (something not seen again until MM, as far as I'm aware). All in all, I would highly recommend you purchase this game. It is well worth the 500 Wii points.
