Should thier be an ALttP sequel?

ALttP (A Link to the Past) is by far in my opinion the best Zelda game. Do you think that a sequel should be made? If so, what should be in it?

I havent played that game in years, I don't really remember what happened to Aganhim, maybe he returns, or something?

I wouldnt like it if it wasn't 2d though.

he was ganon in disguise but yes I would love a second lttp I would also like a second majora's mask

LA = Link's Awakening

It's the sequel to Link to the Past, since it occurs immediately afterwards and features the same Link. It was released on the Game Boy back in 1993.

i kno, i forget then figured it out afterwards! although, LA isnt very ALttP'ish

It's still a sequel. Sounds to me like you just want a rehash.

not necessarily a rehash...more like a sequel that is more like a sequel that has more to do with the previous story (is that a rehash?..lol)

so you mean set in Hyrule, post-ALttP? rather than off the coast and in some whale's dream? that's not necessarily a rehash, unless you think Link also needs to save Zelda again.
oh wait, there was one of those games too. though the game was played live, so you can't really play it now, except by ROM. see: Ancient Stone Tablets

if they do a new sequel, they'd better remake ALttP for the Wii first. I still want to see the ALttP dungeons redesigned into 3D ~drool~ ...and I think it'd be out of place without ALttP to back up the release of the sequel, and wouldn't sell as well as some other sequels.

LA was already done and there's not much room after that.

As much as I loved that game, wouldnt a sequel ruin it?? I mean, look at WW, it was all right, but ph was not nintendos best work, It was okay, but not the best...

If you don't like Link's Awakening (shame on you!!), you can still try Four Swords Adventures, which was meant to be a prequel to A Link to the Past and does use most of its graphics and styles. Even though it doesn't feature the same Link, it at least covers a part of the backstory of ALttP, the Imprisoning War. (Or at least, that's what I think they meant to do with the game, timeline theorists please don't bite me.) But FSA is the best you can get next to Ancient Stone Tablets, if you're a big ALttP fan.


I personally still would like to see another Zelda game in the style of ALttP made for the WiiWare system. It's time, that they should stop delivering shovelware and bring some quality titles on that service.
