Re: nes legend of zelda medicine
If you haven't found the Letter, then she won't sell you any Potions. You have to get a letter from an old man in the most northeast part of Hyrule in order to be able to buy potions. You'll know you've found the right place when you see a flight of stairs leading to a cave.

Don't ever choose the potion. You'll have a tough time in the last dungeon if you don't get all of the hearts.
Press start, If you have a letter in your inventory then find the old lady to sell you potions. If no letter, then go get it from one screen before the Gambling Tree, Go North up some stairs and you'll have it. ![]() |

Haha, the first time through the last dungeon is hard even if you have potions. XD Well, at least it was for me.

Now, I get the Red Ring and Silver arrows, save, quit, go buy more potions and fill up on hearts before playing the recorder to warp back with full hearts, bombs, and rupees to fire the bow. Even then I'm on the edge of my seat going through it all. |

Re: nes legend of zelda medicine
What I did was map the dungeon as I was going along. Of course, I died like FIVE HUNDRED TIMES, but once I had found my way to Ganon, I also did what you did: save, quit, buy potions, and go back to Level 9.
Honestly, I think that the second quest's level 9 was way easier than the first quest.
