How many dungeons are there in it and are they hard?

There is three dungeons in light world and 7+ (spoilers) -------------------------- - -- ganon tower --
dungeon in dark world.
Some of the dungeons are easy, some are harder.

The game is known for it's complexity and being one of the "hardest" though it's not that complicated for me.

It's very great, and it's very popular, a lot of people put it in their top three, so it's highly recommended.

There are 3 dungeons in the light world and 7/8 in the dark world. I highly recommend it and as soon as you get used to the control scheme, it's not that hard, but the puzzles make you think, so it's fun for a challenge.

The complexity of the dungeons increase as you go. The first ones are a breeze, and the last ones are a real pain.

ALttP is considered to be one of the more difficult games. But it's a lot fun and definitely worth the challenge.

I'm working on it right now. I just beat the Dark Palace. Some are very difficult, and some are easy. It took me hours to beat the Tower of Hera boss. The wizard, however, was extremely easy.

Um no not really. They're actually kind of random and in the handheld version of the game it tells you the dungeon difficulty when you bring up the dungeon map. It says it in one of the corners I think...

Is it harder then LoZ and AoL.I just beated the first 2 or 3 dungeons can't remember,but Id have to start playing it more on my Wii.

It's NOT harder than AoL (LoZ is debatable, but I'd say ALttP is slightly easier since you actually get some clues about where to go). I beat ALttP (SNES) when I was 7/8 and I struggled on AoL a few years ago (which was my early-to-mid-teens). If you tell people that, they won't play it just like they won't play AoL!

It is a great game, and is my favorite Zelda. Contrary to popular belief, it created the current formula, not OoT.

Well.. The only hard boss is the Rock Snake Dragon thing. But Turtle Rock level is easy.
I beat ALttP many times in a row with out dying.
Plain and simple. It's easy.
Oh! The only hard dungeon is Gannon's Tower.

Agreed. ALttP is the easiest Zelda I've played. And considering I only haven't played LoZ and Aol, it should be the easiest Zelda I'll every play.

The bosses are a bit tough, but there are almost no actual puzzles in the game, except for the occasional extremely obtuse and random one that'll irritate you no end.

Despite this, I'd say it's the second or third best Zelda out there.

It's a very hard game for people who are bad at remembering things that people said or hinted at, or people who skip the reading parts. then again, those people shouldn't be playing zelda

I think it's a pretty hard game myself, although it's my fave and I'veplayed it through so many times it's easy as heck now.

there aren't really any "puzzles" as in, walk into a room, solve a puzzle, get item, leave room. But sometimes certain aspects of a dungeon or sidequest are like one big puzzle.

Ok so being as I just beat the game for the first time I have to say it's the hardest Zelda game I've ever played.

It's harder than the 3D zelda games, but if you get the gameplay down it's not that hard. It's as hard as a game should be. So many are just too easy these days. A piece of advice: mastering use of your shield and bow will make the game much easier on you.

IT was hard for me when i first played it years ago but now ive played it so many times it's a piece of cake for me

In terms of difficulty, I rank ALttP 3rd in the series behind AoL and LoZ. Definitely a good challenge.
