Should I buy the gba ALttP/FS or the virtual console version

I want the gba version because its portable plus four swords
or should I buy the vc version because I want to build up a zelda libray on my wii??

aLttP GBA is a pretty good buy.
It includes FS, and it has some extra things [including an extra dungeon] added to aLttP. Also, some of the text in the game and manual is changed/updated to help related to the other games better.

The GBA version has annoying OoT sound effects thrown in and is on that tiny ass screen. Otherwise, it is 450% fold from the original. However, I'd still but the VC version: It is more cost effective and certainly easier to see.

You could get a GBA Player with the LttP/FS. You'd still have the annoying vocals from Link, but at least you could play it on a TV.

That's what I would choose. I personally liked the Bottle System in the GBA version better, plus the little side-quest if you finished FS.

GBA ALTTP all the way! Especially if you buy the GBA player for the TV.
P.S. Four Swords is multiplayer only.

Yeah Four swords is a pain, because you need four people with GBAs, Link cables, and game carts.

I would say go for the GBA one first. It's portable, plus has the FS game (if you know others that have it, its a good thing). Of course you may always down the rode be able to get the virtual console version as well. Doesn't hurt to have both, even if it takes a while for it to happen.

Yea GBA! FS is a blast if you have friends to play it with you...

GBA for the win! It was my first zelda purchase and I'll never stop loving it.

If your goal is to build up a Zelda library for your Wii, then it seems like a no brainer. Besides, it's cheap!

The virtual console is by far the superior version of the game. Mainly due to being able to play it on a big screen, and it doesn't have the gay sound effects.

Unless you have a friend with the GBA version. In which case, get the same so you can unlock the extra ALTTP dungeon, which is well worth doing.

I agree. I hate those sound effects. Link was not supposed to be a kid in ALttP.

I just downloaded this on the virtual console, it is alot easier to play with the gamecube controller than the SNES controller for some reason.
