![]() 2) You do realise you were not there right? You were not the one having the dream, experiencing it. Sure it sounds like it is not scary, and to be honest it doesnt. That doesnt mean anything. We were only given a brief discription of something we can never truly understand. I was once scared to death about this theater I visited in my dream. It was a theater that showed only the most gruesome horror movies out there. I can remember the title of one of them very clearly, 'Live'. Now it sounds completely harmless and laughable. But at the time of the dream, everything about it scared me. Although it didnt help to know that the movie 'Live' featured real people being brutally killed live. Hence the name 'Live' Still, just because we do not think its scary in any shape or form. Doesnt mean during the dream it wasnt scary. I just think its unfare to say 'Its not scary' when we did not experience it. Trying to justify your position by telling your nightmare or it could have been worse is pointless. It all boils down to how the dream effected him, not us. So... yeah.

Re: transforming nightmares
So you are calling someone a pansy because he had no control over his dream? Not sure about you, I rarely have any control over my dreams. Whatever happens to the dream is beyond me. I know things about the dream with out understanding why. I go along with whatever the dream is about. I mean hell, why should I go to the edge of the Universe? I did it anyways.
Obviously he had no control over his dream and probably little to no control over his emotions. I rarely ever have control over my emotions while im dreaming. Its not until the dream or nightmare is over do I have any control over it. So you think him a pansy and coward because he had no control over his emotions? Had no control over how he would react to the situation he was presented? Also I do not see him crying about it at all. His GF told him he was CRYING IN HIS SLEEP. As a result of the dream. Of course we have no idea what went on in the dream, and because of this it is foolish to act as if we do. Not sure about him, but I rarely remember most of my dream. Usually when I wake up its gone. I remember sometimes, but never the way I dreamt it. So maybe he forgot part of the dream? Him crying could have easily been something else completely. It may not have had anything to do with the game characters, but something else. Or hell maybe it was the event he described. But we do not know what was going through his mind. Something he probably had little to NO control over. I find it incredibly weak of you. You should avoid threads like this. Someone who fails to try and truly understand the situation, should just skip right over it.

Someone's a bit defensive. I think you're taking it a little too seriously. It's just the internet. If you hadn't noticed; I'm not taking this seriously. Maybe you should relax a little. It might save you some time from not typing up those huge responses. Last edited by Eijiro; 05-26-2008 at 05:10 AM. |

Re: transforming nightmares
Will everyone just leave this guy alone? Geez. He got advice, he's going to use it. This thread shouldn't even be open right now.
And who wouldn't be scared if you're made of wood and a super-limber guy with a really high-pitched voice appeared IN your bed?

Re: transforming nightmares
I used to have dreams like this when I was younger, only they were never scary.
There was one time when I was both reading Harry Potter 4, and trying to watch DBZ. The two stories fused into a bizarre and unforgetable night. Long story short, I was the most powerful Super Saiyan in the galaxy, a mercenary, and had been given the job of being a bodyguard to Harry.

also 'its just the internet' is such a cold mentality. Yes, we use the internet to communicate and share ideas, photos, stories, music, games. But you seem to lack to capability to realise that there is another person on the other side. Yes, its just the internet. Its just another human on the other side. What difference does it make if its on the internet or on the streets? When you make cruel remarks towards someone and dismiss their feeling, you are still talking to a real person with real emotions. Sure you could bring up the ideal mentality of people. To shrug off such comments and move on. Oh if only the world was like this. If every person was able to just go 'meh, who cares what they think?' Saddly, this is far from the reality we live in. Not everyone can put that strong mental barrier up to prevent such insults from getting in. Its just the internet... where both the strong and weak of mind go to. Its just the Internet. Such a cruel way of thinking. Its easy to forget that we are communicating with real people. I mean I am just a bunch of text on the internet as you are to me. This is only complicated when people bring up that foolish line of thinking. 'Its only the internet, don't take it so personally' or 'how can someone be hurt by what people say over the internet' With this it is only easier to forget that other people are on the other side. All of which are unlike you. Some take these comments and laugh them off, while others are incapable of doing such.
