Bea-utiful 'Orchestral' Hyrule Castle Remix

Okay, so it actually sounds like a synth, but it's still good:

YouTube - Hyrule Castle Orchestrated

I've always loved this song, I was so happy when Nintendo used that opening chime when you first unlock Hyrule Castle in TP, even if the slow Hyrule Castle remix wasn't really to my taste.

You want fantastic re-makes of Zelda songs? Go here.
I personally love the LttP Dark World theme. And all the Open Symphony songs. Memories of Kakariko is so pretty...

As much as I like Zelda music, it annoys me how often synthesized sound is passed off as an 'orchestration'. I mean as much as I appreciate ZeRO's work, half of their tracks are of no better quality then the in game sound and some sound worse then the originals.

I liked the song pretty much, but I think Kondo has written really better music.
If you haven't, you should go and check some music from the Zelda games on Zelda Universe (this site). Koji Kondo has written so much fantastic music, I think!
Almost all Zelda songs today are made by an orchestra. I like Classic music, so for me that music is really fantastic!

I would just like to state my opinion. The castle theme is my favourite song in the Zelda series.

There is also a fast version of the song in the cutscene, that shows Zant taking over Hyrule castle(only the begining part of the song).

I beleive that's from the ALTTP Sound and Drama CD.

It also has a really good orchestrated version of the Dark World.

Koji Kondo rox my sox.

For some amazing Zelda Remixes, however, go here: Game: The Legend of Zelda (Nintendo Entertainment System) - OverClocked ReMix

Those are only the remixes from LoZ, too--there's whole sections for all the other Zelda titles. the remixers at OCRemix do some incredible stuff! Pays great homage to not just Zelda music, but almost every video game! Check them out!

Wow, I've known of some orchestrated Zelda music, but this Zelda Reorchestrated project totally flew under my radar. Spent a good few hours listening to music from the site last night, and I can only conclude that it's fantastic stuff.

OCReMix is indeed a great spot for some of the best fan arrangements of popular Zelda tuneage. Keeping in theme with the thread's focus on orchestrated goodness, I'd recommend Tyler Heath's A Storm in the Desert, a great remix that's dripping with high production values. He also did an awesome take on the Shadow Temple and Temple of Time themes from OoT in a mix titled Shadows Left by Time, but I can't find a mirror for that piece anymore.

oh, i love that remix! There's three movements to his remixes, and the whole piece is entitled Artifact of Power. The three movements are "A Storm in the Desert," "At the Bottom of Lake Hylia", and "Traveling the Woods." I dunno if theyre on OCR or not--i dint think so--but they are very good. Highly recommended!

There's actually a fourth movement of Artifact of Power, which is the Shadows Left by Time that I mentioned. I believe that's the final one. In any case, I unfortunately haven't had the pleasure of listening to all four movements successively since I've only been able to track down the first and the last (and I no longer have the last on my hard drive, sigh).

Indeed, though, I'd imagine that all four make for a grandiose aural experience. I love his idea of transmuting the brief ocarina melodies into full-blown orchestrated tracks.
