How do I save the game?
I have the original Legend Of Zelda game for NES, but it's the GBA remake. But I don't know how to save! It only let's me save when I DIE, which sucks, because I get to like level 6 and then the only way to save is to commit suicide and then when I continue my game I start with only 3 hearts.. :glare

Re: How do I save the game?
I've never played the remake, but the original Zelda had you get to a Game Over screen before you could save. I think there's a way to get to the Game Over screen without having to commit suicide (Start+select, maybe?), but you cannot save and continue where you left off. You'll always wind up at the bottom of the overworld with only three hearts.

Re: How do I save the game?
Amatuers.
You have to have 2 controllers. Bring up the start screen on Controller 1, push Up and Select(or A or B, I forgot) on controller 2.

Re: How do I save the game?
He's talking about the GBA version, Humulos, not the NES one. Anyway, I really have no idea, did you try L+R+start+select at the same time? (Be careful with that combo, on some games it resets them).

Re: How do I save the game?
Oh, sorry, stupid me. GBA version you just pause and then press Up-Select/A/B (again not sure)

Re: How do I save the game?
Why'd they make it so obscure?

Re: How do I save the game?
Well, the original was because saving was new to gaming, so they had to come up with some effective way to do it.
The re-release, I have no idea. I guess as a nod to the original for us long-time fans. I knew exactly how to save the game when I played the classic NES one, thanks to the original, and it have felt out of place to me if it was anything else really.

Re: How do I save the game?
To save on the GBA version of LoZ, bring up the menu screen and press UP + SELECT.
Also, it's not really that obscure; they tell you in the instruction manual. You did read the instruction manual, right?
