You could be a bit more specific. What people? are you talking about monsters? where did he "murder" them? It would really help this thread go a little farther.

I assume he refers to the corrupted soldiers. They weren't real people, they were more like Dark Nuts than anything.

He did what was necessary to save the world. It's morally gray at best, but it does serve the greater good.

They were sort of possessed so he had to kill them. Ok, he didn't have to kill them, he could of snuck around.

Think about it, if your parents were possessed and the only way to save them was to kill them would you do it? Like the people of Hyrule. Link had to save them and he had to kill innocent victims (guards) to get into the Dark World, kill Ganon and get the Triforce to save the people of Hyrule.

Yeah, I was more so saying that just to be silly. Still, I would call killing them a favor to them. Would you want to be controlled by an evil wizard?

And to further be silly, you can clearly see the knights faces wearing the same helmets in the ending of the game.

Those soldiers came back anyway...they exact same way, then Link slaughters them again...its a never ending cycle.

Anyway, murder is done in cold blood. The soldiers link "killed" were armed and were attacking link, so its defined as self defence.

They're like Borg, just mindless drones. No one wants to live like that. He's doing them a favor by killing them.
Plus, I'd fight back if someone was trying to stab me.

The guards he killed likely came back to life after Link made his wish, just like his uncle and the king.

Besides, you have to kill some of them just to progress the game.

I don't see much point in this thread.
