Ending Question Of LOZ
At the end of LOZ you see Link and Zelda hold up the Triforce of Power and Triforce of Wisdom and you see the screen flash. What does this flash mean?

It means you beat the game.
Yeah, it does not really have much significance if you ask me, its just an effect they wanted to use. After the flash the screen also goes entirely black remember. Then credits roll. Like, 5 of them. I guess Ganon killed all of the developers of that game. Though I guess it could mean that the two Triforces are close to each other, similar to how they glow when everyone is assembled in OoT. I unno.

Well, back in the day and even in quite a few 2D games today, when something flashes it means that whatever is flashing is about to reach it's end. When you would hit major enemies, they would start to flash indicating that they're about to die, once you had landed the final blow they would start flashing really fast and then explode. I vaguely remember the screen flashing when I beat a boss in Contra, I'm sure that a lot of games used the "flashy screen" technique to say "hey, you won!".
