Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

he has played the movie slightly faster than it should be going. i have two copy's on that game, one on gamecube, one on gameboy.there is no way in hell that link ever moved that fast on LoZ. although, i do know what he did to be able to dodge past enemies so easily. there is a program used alongside emulators that allows you to fast forward, rewind, pause, and generally find the best way past the enemy. and it doesnt soil the redording. he didnt upload it directly from the file either. if you watch at the start, it shows the movie being loaded. he used a webcam to record it while the movie was played slightly faster. but that's only a theory. seeing as how link is moving double sped, rate the movie with double the claimed time. so instead of 33 minutes, it's 1 hour 6 minutes.

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

Seems a tad faster, maybe because it is a speed run, that was insane, I watched every second.

I agree. This guy was definatly using some sort of emulator. Like Andy said, Link was moving double the speed he should be going. Link avoided the enemies way too easy. He took out some bosses with just 1 blow...The guy is definatly using an emulator.

I'm sure there is a way to mess with the games programing to make it do all the things shown in the video...Although i'm not exactly sure myself, but i've heard somewhere that there is a way mess with the programing of old NES games.

TSA is in the process of beating that record. In fact, I believe he already has, and likely by a good margin too.

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

hmmm, this one looks exactly the same as this guy made on the zelda maker thing. I havent played the official game this of zelda, but I remember the starting as being where you start out in the zelda maker version where he started, or do you start there?

EDIT: And when he was beating up the second boss, he went through him without getting hurt, can you do that? Or is it a bug? because he seems to go through alot of enemies...and what about keys? He never picks up one key, and still beats the temple...I think this is fake.

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

man you can easily see that hes using cheats.. if he walks up the stairs to second level (around 1:30) an octorok shoots him from behind and he didnt got any damage.. and in hte dungeon, he got to the boss, without getting some keys.. thats impossible..

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

yeah, he even walks through the enemies without getting damage (most time, that is). And if he gets up stairs, he returns in the middle of nowhere, instead of the stairs themsevles.
For the door opening, I think he got a magic key (probably in the 6 lvl, wich he did in 2. place).
Is it normal, being able to blow up walls and burn down bushes? If it were, I missed something in my LoZ Instructions.

maybe he had the bracelets, so he did get hurt but it didnt show in his hearts...you can blow up walls and burn bushes but only in a few dungeons and a few bushes.

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

i dont think hes even playing the game, i think its a movie hes made with flash or something like that coz some of those things are impossible to do, and he always gets just the right item he needs, like the bombs a the start, i couldnt get them that easy...

EDIT: also look at the money making game at 3:40 thats impossible to have that much luck...

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

That guy was most definitely using cheats. I have the Jnes emulator, which automatically loads cheats for most NES roms, and gives you the option to turn them on or off. One of these for LOZ is invincibility, as well as start with all Heart Containers, Blue Ring, etc.
In Level-2 of this guys speed run, when he passed through the room with the Moldorms (the worms that appear to made of fireballs), he touched them and received no damage. Since his character was wearing green, he had no Rings on, and so he should have taken at least half a heart of damage. He got nothing. And in spite of the fact that all the sound was at normal pace and he moved up and down stairs at nomal pace, his character was definitely faster than he should normally be.
Another thing i noticed was that he obtained the White Sword with only five Heart Containers. It was always my understanding that you needed six at the very least. Can anyone confirm this?

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

I always get that sword before the first dungeon, and if I remember correctly you only need five heart containers. Well, I'm watching it right now, and as of now it doesn't seem fast-forwarded, but I will notify you all once I notice anything. Okay, yeah, somethings going on. He went into the gambling house just south of the one fake wall in Hyrule, and the overworld music was still playing. Oh, and yes, he is playing this on an emulator of some sort. At the beginning, I think what he's doing is loading the ROM, so this run is not legit. Oh, and in the first dungeon, he used the trick which opens the first door, so this run is not official. Twin Galaxies, nor any other place, allows this trick. Well, maybe just Twin Galaxies, but that's because they're just a bunch of stuck up tightwads. And come on, he's getting items from every single enemy he kills. Well, I don't see any reason to waste my time watching a cheater like this, so I'm just gonna stop right here. Some people are just so ignorant.

Re: LoZ in 32 minutes

First of all it's a tool assited run. Bisquit is a master at these kindof runs.

About the bombs and money making game. He went into the game's code and manipulated the luck.

No cheats are involved. Altering the game's coding is involved though.

That time when the Octorok shot him? He turned around and blocked the shot so fast you couldn't notice.
