Who is Agahnim?

I always wonder about that..

Is he Ganondorf. Or do he only have the same abilty to tranform himselves to Ganon?.
Is he maybe Ganondorf son? What we know, is that Ganondorf got the triforce, and Agahnim got it to, (The same piece).
What do you guys thinks???

No, Agahnim is just a pawn of Ganon's. Ganon used him to rise to power so he could break the seal. Agahnim was just being used by Ganon.

That being presented, it will never be fully clear as to who, or what, Agahnim is. Whether a person Ganon is brainwashing, a loyal servant to him, a lifeless body to which Ganon may control, or just a manifested form of Ganon himself, it is for the fans to decide for themselves.

After you kill Agahnim he turns into a bat and crashes through the temple were you fight Ganon, so it might be Ganon it might not be.

I always believed that Agahimn was a puppet used by Ganon to attempt to take over the world. Ganon possesed him in spirit form, so that he could stay in the Dark world and fully control someone in the Light world. And with the second battle, Ganon could control him further because he was in the same world and posses him with his actual corporial form. So, Agahimn is nothing but a puppet for Ganon.

Based upon the defination of alter ego (& that's what Ganon referred to Agahnim as), I assumed (& still do) that Agahnim was the game predecessor for what would eventually simply be called "Phantom Ganon." I say game predecessor as A Link to the Past was released before Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker & any other Zelda game where Phantom Ganon made presence. Agahnim simply has been the only one given a name to provide an identity seperate from Ganon himself. Though Ganon himself was never able to bring himself into the Light World, who is to say that he couldn't send a weaker, magical shadow of himself?

Of course we can only speculate on the different perspectives of alter ego. The only folks who could confirm or deny our hypothises are the folks who worked on it.

He is a "Worker" of ganon to get ganon back to Hyrule.And even though he's not mentioned in this forum,I think Vaati is the same thing.then,i could be wrong(DADADAAAAA!!)

Agahnim is an alter ego of Ganon, that much is known. The meaning that is used, we know not. But, I like the idea of him being a manifested form of Ganon, it sounds interesting. I, Link, your idea is really good. Ganon had better control of Agahnim in the Dark World because he could directly control him, and thus made him more powerful, allowing him to create those two "shadows" of himself. A very good idea!

Well, like in Harry Potter(if anyone here read the fourth book) Agahnim's like Wormtail. He's loyal to Ganondorf and thus tries to free him so he can gain power from Ganondorf. He thinks that Ganondorf will repay him. Of course, he doesn't, but that's his fault. He's nothing more than a wizard seeking power by summoning a powerful being who has the triforce of power. Agahnim is not Ganon. Simple as that. Doesn't it say in the game that he is what I just said? I remember that in the game somewhere.

i dont beleive agahnim to be ganon in another form, mainly cause he said

it sounds more like his talking about someone completely seperate to him. so i beleive hes a servant, otherwise he would have said "i cant beleive you beat me twice already".

*couch* ummm aghanim was the kings servent but when ganondorf couldn't get out of the sacred realm he tok over aghanim so he could do all of his dastourdly evil stuff he needed to get out

There was a plague at the time that not even the most powerful of mystics could get rid of. But in regards to Agahnim, he was a puppet pure and simple...Ganon is Ganon and Agahnim is Agahnim. Maybe it could be the translation that made it sound like they were the same person.

Hm... That's a possible explanation. But he still is the alter ego of Ganon, since it was said in the game. Hey, anyone out there who can read Japanese, play the Japanese version of the game. Give us accurate translations so that we know how the game was intended to be. Hey, did you all know that Nintendo of America wrote its own story for ALttP? That's right. Their writers made all the legends and myths and stories in the beginning of the manual. There's not much there that's the same in the Japanese manual.

I think ganon found agahnim, and needed him to go to the light world because he couldn't, or that it is ganon in the body of a wizard named agahnim. Personally it's more likely of the incarnation than the partner in crime.

omg who cares??? Agangm (or however you spell it) was just a dude who wanted power, but he probably didnt know he was just ganon's plaything. he's nothing special, end of story.
