OoT medallions in ALTTP!

ok, i dont have any screenshots, but that's because i do not have a digital camera...yet. but to see these medallions,(shadow and water) go to death mountain! go to the first teleporter, and there's the medallion of shadow! well sort of. those three largetr boulders are the trianlge in the middle, and the smaller rocks count as the dots around the edge. now step into the teleporter, and voila! another medallion! all the bushes in a ring, look a bit like the water medallion dont you think?ok a couple of differences, but apart from that, that's how the look to me! for those who do have the games, please see if you can get a picture of the light and shadow medallion please. and also, on death mountain in ALTTP. keep a look out for those secrets!

Actually, it would be "ALTTP medallions in OoT!" because ALTTP came first. But I'll have to check that.

Wow. I have beaten ALttP a gazillion times, and scoured that map over a million times looking for secrets. Whew! Better get back to work looking for more secrets! THanx 4 the tip off though, I'll check it out.

I'm not very far on my emulated game, but I'll try to snag some screenies of the afformentioned easter eggs and post 'em. Thanks for pointing these out! ^_^

Oh my god. This is so dumb. So what if the rocks on Death Mountain look like OoT medallions. So what. Do you think that this was done in 1991 just so that it could be used in 1998 so that one fan would look at it and think that they are the same. And the circle of bushes? Come on, they don't even look remotely similar. In fact, the rocks look more like the water medallion.

Dude. Perhaps I said the wrong thing when i called it an "easter egg," so? What if people wanna see what this guy's talking about? I know I do and that's why I'm running around to try and grab screens of it. Some people do like to note a few unintended similarities, and I happen to be one of them. It's just kinda fun to look through all the games and compare similar elements. I mean, come on. The names of the sages in OoT were named after the towns in AOL for crying out loud. I think that's kinda cool, though highly off topic. Anyway, I'll still work on getting those screens and see if they're the ones he's talking about.

Pardon the double postage, but I decided it might be best to have these in a separate post that I can edit with the other screenshots later. Here's the first few from the Death Mountain portal. Mind you, I found a second medallion "hidden" in the rocks.

As a side note, the two medallions I have "seen" in the rocks are outlined in red to make it easier to picture for physical proof that the pattern is similar.

ah! thankyou for getting the pictures! i have recently found ANOTHER secret! go to the desert (you need the giants mitt's, and the flute) via playing the flute. go into the dark world, jump off, and use bombos. you will hear an enemy die, but you wont see any enemies! this is the so called "ghost of misery mire". thought you might want to know that. also, i didnt notice the light medallion there! well done for spotting it!. i should make a new thread.

Hmm. I think I'll try that when I get home this afternoon. If you spot any other places where the patterns of a medallion would be, let me know so I can screenshot it and point it out. ^_^
