Re: Help in SNES dark world

this is blatantly in the wrong section,
check the help thread (one page before the last one) where i describe how to get the whistle (it is in the light world where the flute boy plays in the upper left hand corner in the top middle of the flower patch) check a faq on the thrid dungeon because it would take to long to explain and you are pretty much saying "beat the game for me"
*lock please*

Re: Help in SNES dark world

ok here's a better idea:
go to ZU's main page. look up ALTTP. look for the walkthrough. (dungeon three is a little fiddly sometimes) as for the flute, o to where the flute boy is in the dark world, aquire the shovel from him, and go up and to your left, and you will find a small path of flowers. go there in the light world, and on the bottom row, dig up the third flower. the flower's should look like this formation
XXXX
X#XX #= dig here.
and yes, the other guy is right, please post questions in the correct area, but if it is about a walkthrough, check the site homepage first. that's how i can do ocarina of time so quickly. in 2 days. better not brag. *fades into the spirit realm*

Re: Help in SNES dark world

I have a 15 room walkthrough for Skull Woods. If this thread isn't closed when I get home from school, then I will tell you.

I will give you the best walkthrough for Skull Woods. You're on your own for everything else. Okay, here goes. From the warp in Kakariko Village, head straight north into the Skull Woods. From here, follow the path to the right, being careful not to get your shield eaten. Walk on the far right of the hole so you don't fall down. Walk around the skull which leads into the dungeon and the cluster of bushes and you will find two giant rib cages. Walk through the one on the right and down the one on the left and enter the giant skull. In this room, kill all the enemies, being careful not to get grabbed by a Wallmaster. Lift up the pot in the center of the room and push the statue so it is lined up with it. Get on the north side of the statue and pull it over the switch. In the next room, ignore all the enemies and open up the chest to get the Big Key. Use the Magic Mirror to return to the entrance of the dungeon. Leave the dungeon and walk back through the rib cages. Cut down the center bush and fall down the hole. Lift a pot and hurl it at the Helmasaur to kill it. Take out you bombs and put one by the crack on the west wall. After the bomb explodes, enter the new passageway. Walk down the east wall until you start walking into the wall, and then turn left. Don't worry, you won't fall. Walk to the narrow strip of floor below the wall switch and pull the switch out. Walk down through the new passageway to the big chest. Open up the chest to get the Fire Rod. Get out your Hookshot and walk to the wall on the east. Shoot the Hookshot south to pull yourself across the hole. Exit through the door on the south wall. Walk back around the shrubs and through the two rib cages and enter the dungeon. Take the door on the west wall and run across the next room. Lift the left pot to get a small key. (if it's not there, then lift the other pot) Exit the dungeon through the door to the south. Once outside, you will see two rib cages. Walk through the one on the left to reach the final part of the dungeon. Get below the "mouth" of the skull and shoot your Fire Rod into it. The fiery blast will burn through the bones, revealing an entrance. Enter the dungeon. Take one step to your left and run north to the door. You may get hurt, depending on the location of the chain of fire. Enter the locked door. In the next room, you will see holes and star tiles. You have to be quick in this room, as Wallmasters will try falling down on you. Take a step forward and step on the star tile. Lift a pot and walk north to the next star tile. Make your way to the star tile in the bottom left corner of the room. After stepping on it, walk north to the pots. Lift them to get by. Step on the star tiles on the right, not the ones below. Walk to the tile in the top right corner and step on it. Go through the door on the right. In the next room, kill all the Gibdos. Careful, there are still Wallmasters in this room. Starting in the lower right corner of the room, light the torches. Lighting all of them will open a door in the top left corner of the room. Be quick, because this door will close if you take too long. In the next room, just ignore all the enemies. Cut the vines on the north wall and walk through the doorway. In the next room, use the Fire Rod on the Gibdo to get a small key. Use the key on the locked door on the east side of the room. This is the final room before the boss. Just lift the top pot to get a small magic decanter and fall down the hole after sneaking past the trap. At the bottom of the pit, you will encounter the boss. To defeat Mothula, just shoot blasts from the Fire Rod into him. If you run out of magic, your sword will work on him as well, it's just that the Fire Rod will finish him off quicker. During the fight, look out for the traps that will move around, and be careful of the moving floor. Well, hope that helped! You're on your own with the rest of the things you were needing help with, though.

That is a lot of stuff. Did you write that by yourself, or are you pasting off a walkthrough site? If you just rattled that stuff off of the top of your head, you truly are the Master of Alttp.

Nope, that's my own walkthrough for it, thought of it and wrote it myself. And just so you know, I did rattle that off the top of my head. I have to be able to do that for speed runs. I can actually create a bit of a mental walkthrough for all of the dungeons up until the Swamp Palace. Now that's knowing the game inside and out. (in my head, I fly through all the rooms real fast, at least the ones I need to go through) If you would like to know the fastest ways to beat the ALttP dungeons, just PM me.
