Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help

I'm having trouble with the Mountain Tower boss in ALttP. I know I have to hit it's tail with my sword, but I can never manage to hit it more than twice without:
1. Dying
2. Falling into the pit.

I need to know a trick or something to kill it...

Strangely, using the Spin Attack to strike the tail prevents you from going over the edge. Don't ask me how that works. Try it out.

I have nothing to say to make it easier but It takes six hits to kill the boss. Each time you fall you start over. Also right before you go into the boss room there are 2 rows of pots. Do not break them unless you need heart containers. If you don not need health, don't break the jars.

Indeed. But, unfortunately, it doesn't work every time. All I'd say is to keep practicing, until you win. You eventually will, you can do it.

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help

I think it is in the light world graveyard, in the most north east tombstone. There are two dark stones blocking the entrance, which are liftable with the 4th dark world dungeon's treasure (the golden gloves or Titan's Mitt, whatever it is called). The dungeon itself is in the dark world kakariko village in the center of town where there is a statue with a pitchfork (that you pull to enter). If you don't want to wait that long, you can get it w/out the gloves. Here's how: go to the darkworld graveyard to the most northeast tombstone, I think you can cut bushes to enter, and get to the top left area of that tombstone. Use the Mirror to warp to the light world. If you warp automatically back, adjust your position in the dark world so that you can use the Mirror and stay in the light world so that you can walk to the tombstone and enter.

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help

Hello. I'm playing alttp.

I just finished ganons tower. and now there is a hole in the pyramid. But first I need the silver arrows and the golden sword. So I walked to where Links house is in the light world to buy super bombs. But I can only buy 10 normal bombs? I'm pretty sure that's the right place to buy those bombs. Do you know what I need to do?

Edit:

Got it

I am replaying AoL. In Darunia, there is a woman who comes out of a house and says, "Rescue the Child from the Island." What Island? Where? Could someone help me.

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help

The island she speaks of is the island east of Darunia.

The child is in a hidden cave below the river directly below the Palace. Walk over it to fall down and the child will be right there.

In AoL is there any point in King's Tomb? Is there a secret level, a secret cave? Or is it just pointless? Please help me out.

Stand directly infront of the tomb and walk south, you should fall into a grotto near by.

Well I knew that, but I meant the actual tomb. Is there any point in having it on the map?

As far as I can tell, it's only purpose is to serve as a landmark.

I know one, and only one trick. Just. Keep. Trying. However, it seems that some other people have replied with ideas, so use those ones too.

As it was said before, the tomb is only a landmark. If you already fell into the grotto then there is nothing else for you to find.

The shield only defends against long range attacks like rocks and arrows. Stronger versions of it will block fireballs and eventually beams. It will not protect you from melee (close-range) attacks at all.

Does he? I'm pretty sure he doesn't. The first game to allow the player to use the shield at will was Link's Awakening, three years after A Link to the Past, so sorry, but you're out of luck.
