Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
If you go to the cemetary in the Dark World, you can use the mirror there and end up at the entrance to a cave in the Light World. It's in the north-east of the cemetary area. I'll take a screen in a moment if there's need to.
EDIT: Apparently, I was wrong. Here it is. Check the screenshots

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
^ I can be a little more specific so you won't be confused. In the light world, you can find a gravestone (at the cemetary of course) in the North East corner surrounded by rocks. If you have the Titan's Mitts level 2, you can lift the black rocks that block the front of the gravestone. Back up and dash at the gravestone and you'll open up a secret pathway that will lead you underground. Go down (there aren't any enemies, just two sparkling things that can hurt you) and at the end of the room you'll find a treasure chest. Inside, you'll find the Magical Cape.
The Magical Cap: Though it can make you invisible (while draining the magic meter), you can still be noticed by enemies (then what's the point really?). If you've noticed in the game these big blue round thing that make you bounce when you touch them, well these will no longer be a bother to you. You can now go right through them as if they were nothing... -BGS

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
If anyone can help me here it would be greatly appreciated:
In LoZ you can find two special rings, the red ring and the blue ring. I already have the blue ring and I was wondering if I get the red ring will that cause my blue ring to stop functioning?

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
The Red Ring can be found in Level 9, Ganon's Lair. It actually is more powerful than the Blue Ring, in defense, and maybe offence too. I haven't played the game in a while so I don't exactly remember, but it is better than the Blue Ring. It will overtake your Blue Ring once you get it.

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
I'm guessing you're at the North Castle. First, go to Rauru Town. It's to the southeast of the North Castle. Check around the entire town and wait for a lady in a red dress to come out of her house. Talk to her, and she'll invite you inside to talk to her father. Go to the very back of the house to find an old man. Talk to him and he'll give you the Shield Spell. Leave Rauru Town, and head north to a cave. There's only one enemy in this dark cave, but you can see it moving on the ground. Duck and kill it with your sword, and then continue thought the cave. You are now in Parapa Desert. Head to the northeast of the desert and you'll arrive at your first palace, the Parapa Palace.
I think that will get you by. That's just in general. Check out GameFAQs or ZU's walkthrought if they have one for more specific details. ![]() |

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
The Shield Spell really helps with Horsehead of Parapa Palace. The strategy to fighting him is simple, but he's hard. Jump up and hit him in the head. Time your attacks so you hit him in the head, and watch out for his mace. That's all you have to do.

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
I just started playing ALttP and personally, its the most challenging games I have ever played. Here is where I am stuck, After you get the Pendant of Courage and go back to Sahashrala (Spl?) he says for you to go to a cave east of Lake Hylia, can someone tell me how to get and where this cave is?

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
To the south of the area of where Saharahla and the Eastern Palace are, but to the north of Lake Hylia is a cave. You can see it on your map. Go around Lake Hylia to get there.
There are actually two cave entrances. To the left of the open is a cracked wall. Bomb it. Inside this portion of the cave, you get the [SPOILER]Ice Rod[/SPIOILER]. The other cave has fairies in it. Hope that helps. ![]() |

![]() Lake Hylia is that massive body of water on the lower left hand corner of the map, and the cave you are looking for is near the north east section of the lake (the lake, not the river). Now here's how to access that cave. -Start from your house -Go south a few screens until you pass the swamp/grassy land and reach a "dirt" road. -Fallow this "dirt road" east, and then north (important not to fall into the water or you must start all over again). Along the way you'll see Octorcs, crows, and an Octoballoon (the only one in the game). -When you go north you'll see Scissor Crabs (that's when you know you're in the right spot). -There you will find (on the north wall) two caves (one open, the other thats bombable). -Bomb the bombable wall, and enter. There you will find the weopon Sahashrala (Sp?) was talking about: The Ice Rod -In the second open cave (if you have an empty bottle, the Pegasus Boots, and the Bug's Net) Go inside, and you'll find yourself in a Fairy fountain. Heal yourself if you please, but that's not the true treasure. Use your Pegasus Boots and dash at the Statue in the middle. Out of the statue will come out a "Good Bee". This is nothing like the other regular Bees. It will stay with you for a very long time (plus you can sell it for profit ) and help kill neighboring enemies.-BGS

Re: Official NES/SNES Zelda Gameplay Help
And of course, BGS explains it in full detail because I'm too lazy to explain all of that.
By the way, that item works well on theLanmolas of the Desert Palace |

Warning though: This "curse" (as he calls it) doesn't last forever...but it does last for a long time. If at any moment in the game that you lose that "1/2" sign, just repeat the process and the Mad Bat will give you the curse yet again. -BGS

gannons tower
i was wondering if anyone knows how to get in this room in gannon tower for super nes zelda link to the past. it is the last room on the 3rd floor with a staircase at the end. it has a bridge that runs across the room with no restraints on either side, and it has two green cannons shooting black cannon balls across the room. there is a platform at the end of the bridge and a cracked wall on the platform. you can throw a bomb across and blow open the cracked wall, but i cant figure out how to get across to go in. tried everything and just cant figure it out. thanks
