Odd Problem With AoL

I was playing AoL on Collector's Edition, and something funny happened. I was fighting Thunderbird, and as soon as I beat him I died, but didn't get a game over. So on my next life, I went to Thunderbird's room, and Thunderbird didn't come. So I tried to leave the room but I couldn't nothing I tried enabled to leave the room or even find Thunderbird. No object appeared or anything. Any explanations, suggestions?

Did you cast thunder again?

Sounds like an overload in the game. It happens with these games at times. It's happened with me. Sometimes when I'm playing LoZ the game will always freeze in the same place... so I just reset it adjust the cart in the system and it plays like a dream. Best thing is to move on to a new game.

Now and then we all get these one time glitches. I had one in ALTTP where that Hinox just outside of the Golden Tower in the DW ended up in that small puddle of water near there with Link and it cause a shocked effect. Very colorful, but haven't been able to replicate it since. Just curious, do you clean your system or carts?

There's no carts. He said he was playing collector's edition.

So restart the game and try again. Thunderbird never gave me that problem... I actually thought he was quite easy to beat in the first place.

That happened to me when fighting one of the palace bosses. I think it was the dragon. I could be wrong. As I gave him his finishing blow, I died in the process. On my next life, I was pleasantly surprised to see that he wasn't there anymore. All that was left was a key.

There are a bunch of glitches and stuff in that game, hence "I am error." Obviously this was a game that was never meant to be released. I hate it so much.

It has no more glitches then any other NES game, and it's certainly complete. Besides, just because you dislike a game doesn't mean that it's bad, people do have other opinions.

Anyways, I can't offer more advice then reset. Odds are there's a toggle for when a boss dies, if it gets triggered the boss is gone, so that reloading that screen won't bring him back, so if Link dies while delivering the finishing blow he'll enter the room again and the boss won't appear. Not that knowing that does you any good, but it's the simplest explanation I can come up with for why that happens.

that can also happen if you die while getting an item (when link stands there stupidly while a blue iron nuckle is pummeling the pants of him) p.s. do you have a suggestion on how to get to the great palace, i keep dying and i am not going to use the link dolls.
