InMM, how do you get milk from the cows?

I'm at the part where you have to give the Gibdos items in order to obtain the Mirror Shield, but I haven't done the side quest that allows me to buy milk at the bar. I went to Romani Ranch, went up to the cow eating grass and played Eponas song(as you would in OOT). Nothing happened(with the exception of Epona galloping to my side). Er...did I miss something?

I never really went to cows to get milk in MM. I'm not for sure, did you try Song of Healing? If that doesn't work than I'm pretty sure you have to do the side quest to get milk.

edit: Are you sure Epona's Song didn't work? I would think it would work.

I'm almost certain you can, but....

I think you can only get the milk at the bar. Did you have an empty bottle while trying this? If you can't get milk with any song, I'm afraid you'll just have to help Romani and Cremia to get the Romani mask, unfortunately...

You don't have to have an empty bottle to do it right. If you don't have an empty bottle then they'll acknowledge that and won't give you any.

I've played Epona's Song multiple times now WITH 2 EMPTY BOTTLES, and even tried equipping one....nothing >.>

If I remember correctly there is a cow in one of the rooms in that maze with all the mummy guys, and it will give you milk. I might be wrong though.

Try playing for a cow in an area where Epona can't go.

I think it is Epona's Song but you have to be where Epona can't. I think it works in the barn, and as Freedom G said, I do believe there is a cow in the Well. If not, just go to the barn, I think it will work there. If not, I don't know.

Towards the south area of termina field there is a giant log you can go under. You will hear some Mooing. Use a bomb to make a hole appear. There will be a cow, and that cow you can play the song for.
It works on this cow because it reminds the cow of home so she can produce milk.

He already figured it out. He figured out he had to wait until night time to get them in the barn.

i had absolutely no idea you could get milk from cows like that even in oot

What did you think Malon gave you a cow for?

Walk up beside a cow and make sure atleast one of your bottles are empty and play Epona's Song. The cow will strt talking about how that song reminds him of the ranch and give you milk.

You can only get milk from the bar in clock town.

Ah, this too heh. I forgot bout that. But I usually go to the bar.

playing epona's song does work because I've tried it myself. You do however only get normal milk even if you play the song on Romani Ranch so dont expect to get that decent milk for free or before 10:30 pm day one.

I've always just bought it at Gorman Track O_o

With the Epona's song just like in OoT.
