Great Bay Temple

I hate this temple. It's like a ****ing rectal exam. It makes Stone Tower look like the Deku Tree.

Re: Great Bay Temple

I liked the temple, it was beautiful to look at (I absolutely loved the colors!), the main concept (messing around with the water streams) was cool, and of course it demanded heavy use of the Zora Mask, my personal favorite. It wasn't that hard of a temple either, certainly a piece of cake compared to OoT's Water Temple.

Re: Great Bay Temple

I'm actually looking forward to replaying it since I just bought the VC version. (Runs pretty much as good as N64 one did) I enjoyed how it was so hard, plus the joy of discovering the ice arrows actually had a point in MM unlike OoT.

Great Bay Temple-Not too Difficult

The Great Bay Temple is a good temple that poses a challenge to any Zelda player. The level design is intricate causing the player to think before he acts before plunging in with sword or fin; depending on preference, swinging. It is difficult and is placed right in between the last temple just like the one Ocarina of Time. They both have a challenge that can get annoying at many time but also equally enjoyable. The plus side is that the Zora mask is constantly used allowing the layer to really get a feel for the aquatic race in the Zelda world. And for those who play Zelda, the Zora mask is very popular among the players.

Re: Great Bay Temple

I wouldn't describe it as a rectal exam... But it definately wasn't one of my favorites. In fact, I didn't like any of the dungeons in MM (as compared to any other games.) But I think that the Great Bay Temple was the most tolerable out of the MM dungeons.

Re: Great Bay Temple

I found it the second hardest after the Ikana temple.

I hated the whole water switching thing in the Great Bay Temple. I hated it as much as the Water Temple from OoT.

I hate Great Bay Temple. Gyorg as well (stupid ugly fish), but especially the Temple itself. (And the Stray Fairy in the pot between the dexihands. I barely can find it...)

I actually found Gyorg quite enjoyable to battle. When I'm bored, I just go there and have a rematch with him/her.

The temple though was just a complete nightmare. And to top it off, I never went around to collecting all the fairy sprites in there. It made me literally insane.

Re: Great Bay Temple

Collecting the fairies was an insane challenge. I dont know how, but I somehow figured out the temple (by then my brain had turned to goo). But I still liked the challenge and the Gyorg boss is a cool battle.

Re: Great Bay Temple

Eh, I really liked the temple. It really makes you think, kinda like OoT's Water Temple, only in a different way. More pipe-colours and less of a 3-d understanding. Or something.

MM had really great dungeons, and this is no exception.

I'm also one of those weird people who didn't really find Gyorg that difficult. The first time around I used up one fairy, but otherwise it wasn't really that difficult I do like it, though. Really much.

Same here. I just love the atmosphere in the temple. The music is sort of mechanic that hurries you forward in need of salvation the dark theme of the doomed place and the usage of Zora mask is what I love. It's my favourite temple in the game I just love the place. Getting to the Great Bay gives you a sort of sense of freedom. The open seas as far as the eye can see unlimited by land of mountains. The place seems so open and large. There's just so much to do before the temple and after.

The Great Bay Temple seems very linear to me. You go to the first opening you get and when you turn the flow of water you keep going the same method you started. There's just no way to go wrong in that temple. You just go forward and get through the place. And you rely get to use the ice arrows in this game unlike in OoT. I once even went from the back of the Zora Hall to the polygon picture of the Great Bay temple far on the sea using the ice arrows as platforms to jump on. I heard that you can do it so did it myself. Took a while and I had infinite magic by chatou Romani, but got there and the thing is just a flat piece of polygons and not even much taller than young Link himself. And you can jump through it it's not even a real wall. But now I'm side-tracking from the topic.

Love the Great Bay temple. Rely do.

You'll love Great Bay Temple, if Water Temple is your favorite. I hate both...

Re: Great Bay Temple

I loved the great bay temple. I loved figuring out which pipes would do what and which combination would give me the result I needed. it worked over my brain quite a bit, it was awesome.

Gyorg was a menace though.

Re: Great Bay Temple

I thought the Great Bay Temple was ok, but I hated the boss battle. The water temples never really stood out as extremely difficult to me, they were just longer and took more work to complete. It seems like a pattern that all the water temples require a lot of work. In Ocarina of Time, the water temple was all about adjusting water levels, in Majora's Mask, it was about adjusting currents, and in TP it was again about adjusting water levels, so it would appear that the mechanics of the water temples have always sort of been geared more towards.... plumbing xD? Maybe homage to Mario (even though he shoots fire from his hands >.>)?
