N64 Character Models

We all know that most of OoT's Character models were in MM.
But which ones weren't, besides Ganondorf and the bosses?
I guess Medigoron wasn't used...
But who else?

Re: N64 Character Models

Zelda appears.
Impa and sheik don't appear.
The sages except Impa, Saria, and adult Zelda appear.
I said not counting bosses.
Adult Link semi-appears.
(FD Link)
Adult Epona draws Cermia's cairrage.
I consider the Deku Tree to be part pof the scenery.
Same with Jabu-Jabu.

He just said that.

They are talked about as characters, and therfore are not technically scenery.

Re: N64 Character Models

Medigoron is there, he sells you Powder Kegs (though you can get them much cheaper in Clock Town). He's in a cave in the Goron Shrine area, or somewhere over there.

The horse pulling Cremia's carriage is not Epona, it has completely different colours. Besides, isn't it a mule? I'm not sure, I have to check. *checking* Here, see, clearly that's not Epona.

I know you already said sages, but there seems to be some who think otherwise, so:
Nabooru isn't there. The leader of the Gerudo Pirates in MM is the model of the girl who gives Link the Gerudo Membership Card, not Nabooru.
Darunia's not there either, Darmani is kind of like him, but the hair and beard is different.
Ruto is the only sage who's model appears in Termina.

Oh hey, Child Ruto, she's not there.

Can't really think of any others right now...

How about the little kid who patrols the graveyard in OoT? Is he the bombers in new clothes?

Huh, I don't know. Now that you mention it, yeah he could be. The models seem to be pretty similar.

Re: N64 Character Models

There is a difference between Character Models and Character Textures/Skins. The model is a 3d from without color. The texture/skin is
the color of the model.

Re: N64 Character Models

This just got me thinking about something that I never actually realized. Is the epona at the farm in termina the original one from Hyrule ( the one that skull kid stole)? If it's just a counterpart what actually happened to the real epona? I haven'tplayed MM in a while.

Re: N64 Character Models

Well now, that's an interesting point. Skull Kid says he got rid of the horse, making people think poor Epona is dead. Later when Link finds her at Romani Ranch, Tatl says: "Isn't that your horse?" and so everyone automatically assumes it's the same Epona. She also likes Epona's Song, which Romani teaches Link as Romani's horse call song or something, saying the horse seems to like tne tune. I'm not sure if they actually say anywhere that Romani and Cremia found Epona somewhere, or if it's their horse, but they don't have any other horses, making it kinda weird if they only had a foal. Also, if she was their only horse, I don't think they would have just given her to Link. Then again, Romani's a little funny, and since Link does save the cows from aliens, it could be her thank you gift.

So, uh, I don't know. I'd like to think it's the same horse, but now I'm not sure.

Re: N64 Character Models

I think Epona is Link's horse. Afterall, the Skull Kid did take Epona into the realm with him and Link.

Maybe by the words that I 'rid your horse' means that he might have simply abandoned Epona in an area where he was hoping the horse would get lost or possibly killed by beasts. Some people say that in real life.

I doubt that he would have slaughtered Epona. A bit dark for a kid's game don't you think?

Re: N64 Character Models

Technically Young Link has a different model in MM too. In OoT, he didn't have the belt thing over his shoulder that supposedly holds his sword. It's in the art, but not in the game. (Adult Link doesn't have it either.) I always thought it was a bit weird, if it's supposed to be there, why didn't they draw it? The hilt just hangs on nothing, it's odd. Anyway, in MM, the belt is there. Also, his hair is slightly different. I don't know if such small changes mean it's a new model, it's still mostly the same... Anyway.

Well, we were thinking about which OoT people weren't in MM, but the other way around works too. MM did have plenty of new characters, like Kafei, the mayor and his wife, the Goron Elder and his son, and so on. But the Postman is in OoT, he's the Running Man you race to the entrance to Kokiri Forest.

Good point, why doesn't TWW Link have it? Weird dropping it from the design... Maybe Link just superglues the hilt to his shirt.
