Who has the gold cartridge of Ocarina?

Also on the gold carts (and all OoT ver. 1.0 carts) in the near-end sequence, Ganondorf coughs red blood. I guess in later games it's green or non-existent, and I had no idea until I saw green in the GCN port.

I was under the impression that the only gold cartridges available were made out of solid gold, and were unplayable as they shorted out the N64. This doesn't seem to be the case.

yeah i was wondering why it changed in different versions of OoT. Because I have the original version of OoT which had the chanting in the Fire Temple and the Moon logo on the mirror shield....the symbols on gerudo valley etc.........To be honest liked the original versions they looked cool. No offense to anyone on how these insults there religion.................just statin my opinion

I have the gold cartridge with the box and booklet intact (The box is pretty, with a shiny cover =P). I noticed right away that at the end battle with Ganandorf he coughs up blood, not...phlem (or whatever that is).

They didn't change the symbols on the blocks and mirror shield until the master quest version was released for Gamecube, I believe. I do prefer the fire temple music with the chant though. I remember playing it for the first time and saying to my brother, "We have to save the Gorons! Listen! You can hear them calling for help!"

Other than that, gameplay-wise, I don't believe there is anything different between the gold and gray cartirdges.

I have the gold cartridge. It's very cool. But yea, I did notice that a lot of the details were changed. We also have the Zelda collection for the gamecube, and my brother noticed that some symbols were changed, but I didn't notice anything else.

I don't have the gold or the gray, as I have the MQ disc. I did see a video that contained the Muslim symbol, and I think Nintendo made a good decision when they removed it. Haven't heard the original Fire Temple music though.

Yeah, I have the limited edition gold cartidge. The box is really wrecked around the edges, really wrecked, but only on the sides and edges, not top or bottom.

I want to get this, just because. I saw it once and wish I'd got it but for some reason I didn't, haven't got a clue why. I know it's not a huge deal but y'know, it's all about collecting Zelda stuff for me.

In addition to having the gold edition of OoT, I was able to obtain two copies of the gray version, one the same as the gold edition (an early release) and the last one made (with the changes, like ganondorf's phelm).

i wish i had the gold cart, i saw it in a pawn shop for 8$, but i didnt have 8$ on me, sucks too, i really wanted to get that, but i do have a gray 1.0 cart probably my only 64 game i have left from my original 64 console, i do plan on getting the gold cart as soon as i get some cash

also just to clear up revision changes,

1.0: the original game(the gold cart and some gray carts)

1.1: the same as 1.0, only things changed were a couple glitches were fixed, the original swordless link glitch, and a fishing pond glitch, i say "original swordless link glitch" because people found another way to do the glitch in the 1.1 cart.

1.2: nothing changed from 1.1 except for the chanting in the fire temple has been removed due to people offended by it, and the symbols were changed on blocks and the mirror shield as well as some other things because supposedly people complained it looked too much like a religious symbol, oh and ganon coughs up green blood instead of the red blood seen in the 1.0 and 1.1 carts at the end

the gamecube and wii versions are the same as the 1.2 cart, only thing different is the media type the game is stored on

i say this out of memory, so i may be wrong on some details, but i believe ive explained most of it

I don't have the gold cartilage, but I have one of the early gray cartilages,(I guess v. 1.0) because it has all the original music (in fire temple) and stuff.

I got mine only a month after in came out (Christmas), but I didn't get the gold cartridge. However, my game has all the glitches of the gold one!

did they sell them in the shops?

I have one in fact i brought two i brought the usual gray one, and then i was in gamestation and saw it on the shelf fully boxed and manual for 11.50 and i brought that one to because my mate said that there was a free zelda doll that came with it.... He lied.
