Yeah or just a theory of mine if Zelda was two player as in 3D like it is now that would solve the puzzle problem, sorry to get off topic!

ALTTP was difficult, but so to was MM. I mean Stone Tower was pretty difficult if you didn't know what to do. Plus the game tries to trick you because you'll be thinking the item you get in Great Bay Temple is supposed to be used on the boss. A newcomer would be fooled. Wart guards the Ice Arrow, which does nothing to Gyorg. So MM screws with you too. I also like Stone Tower Temple's two guarded items. Plus the final boss is pretty hard and the internal clock system was pretty demanding. I mean, after three days (game days) you get game over. BUT, that does not take away from the game's fun level, it actually gave to it. ALTTP was an innovation in Zelda history, but so was including two games in one cartridge. Four Swords was an innovation as well, controlling four links with three other friends. Anyway, ALTTP is by no means easy. People think that just because there isn't anything of today in the game, that makes them too easy. I think that no game is too easy. Be it Zelda, Mario, Banjo, whatever, it can never be too easy.

Wrong. A SNES would not burst into flames if given too great of a processing challenge, it would simply take a LONG TIME to complete the calculations. And in the event of the system actually getting too hot, it would simply shut down. Any confirmed incident of a computing system catching fire is simply user negligence, not any fault in the computing system itself.

Wow. You'll bash this, but not OoT or TP? ALttP did have its flaws, I mean, most games do. But look at OoT and TP. Practically the 2 most overrated Zeldas made. And to me, it sounds like you only talked about The Dark Palace. Look at the rest of the levels. Swamp Palace had you walking through waterfalls. Level 3 (Forgot the name =P) has multiple entrances. You're comparing the all of the dungeons with a few concepts that were used. Pay more attention when you play the game.

Exactly!
I like ALTTP its dungeons were all very differnt like the skull forest itself was the dungeon and the Ice palace and all of them were uneic in there own way, execpt the red pendant tower it was just the same as the frist. but OoT and TP are good as well they follow the True zelda conscept pluse in TP your swords hit to gather with the Enemys like on ALTTP that was what made this game good that and the Bosses!

The only lothsome Zelda Game was Wind Waker it was dumb completely stupid!

it's been a long time since i've played Wind Waker,and i quite agree with you.
6 of my freinds have told me that you could hide in the barrels to get your sword back,yet i didn't see a single barrel!(probably because i got caught as soon as i set foot on that area)

Come on, who plays Zelda just for the puzzles? All we really want to do is run around and kill things. The puzzles are just a good way of making you earn your new weapons to run around and kill things with. I'd say that Zelda is more of an Adventure game than a Puzzle game, wouldn't you? So the focus is completing the temple and, yes, getting the item to kill things with and progress.

It's been a while since I played ALLTP, but I recently booted up old Snes9x (I have a Mac ), hooked up my USB controller, and went off on another quest to kill ganon, save Zelda, and kill cuccos. I've progressed far in the game (I'm at Misery Mire), and I've just noticed a flaw that I don't remember noticing in my first playthrough.

The dungeon designs suck.

Let me give you some filler sentences while you curse me in your mind. FILL FILL FILL FILL FILL FILL FILL FILL FILL FILL FILL. Now that you have a rational mindset, let me begin...

ALLTP's dungeons, frankly, are painful to play. They are boring, bland, and uninspired. Let me start with the puzzles. This won't take long, because all the puzzle boil down to the same things...

- Kill all monsters
- Find the switch for the door.
- Find the other way into the room ( this applies especially to Dark World dungeons)

I honestly don't see technical difficulties being the problem here, but developer laziness instead. If Nintendo had the time to create a neat little 3D triforce for the title screen, then they could have put some effort into making the dungeons unique. The only defining difference I've encountered in the dungeons is water in the Swamp Palace and Ice in the Ice Palace. Every other dungeon uses a bland layout with a couple enemies that sorta fit with the theme.

But it's not just the puzzles, but the design of the dungeons themselves. Rather then creating nice flowing places that rely on puzzles (but wait, that ALLTP would have sucked because the puzzles would have been the same 3...over and over) to advance, Nintendo saw fit to make glorified mazes. The entire quest is reduced to finding the door's key, rather than making any changes to the enviroment.

So yes, I enjoyed, and are enjoying a ALLTP, except for those times I have to rescue the maiden or retrieve the pendant. Those parts go by in a depressing blur, because all you really care about is the item, right?

#2 i kinda agree, the dungeons are kinda dull, but i like the design of finding swiches, it gives me more of a challenge, the dungeons are my favorite part, and im glad to see you are enjoying it, its a great game, in my opinion

Um forever, if you like this game can you ATLEAST give the correct abbreviations, you put alltp instad of alTtp...
You should watch out for that, it gets on my nerves when people do the same mistake over and over..............
