Re: Hyrule Loach - *photo of catch*

My friend also had this happened to him. He doesn't have a ZU account so I can't really show some proof. I can't play on the same game because I sold it a LONG time ago so it's either believe me or not, I'm guessing not.

Or on the other hand you could be lying through your teeth, and just afraid/embarrassed to admit your wrong.

Why the heck would I be afraid and embarrased about a game. That's kind of dumb don't you think. Like I said, You can either believe me or not.

Re: Hyrule Loach - *photo of catch*

I have managed to catch the loach a couple of times before, but only with the sinking lure though. As i see it is possible to get the fish without the lure, i'll give it a go later.

I've caught that before. Only with a sinking lure though. I'm amazed it took you only 60 seconds it took me about 30minutes. Perhaps this has something to do with the sinking lure.

At anyrate it should be on your records at your house.

That's complete Fiction. He might admire that you've caught it but he doesn't give you a heart container.

Then my game is glitchy or was because Link raised his hands like he got a heart and the music happened and the rest I noticed later.

I found the sinking lure by the wall against the rocks where that little stream flows into the fishpond. I'm playing the regular GameCube version, not Master Quest. Get the fishing rod FIRST, then hunt around the rock that's against the wall that's closest to the fishing counter. The lure should be there. You can't see it until you find it though. Hope this helps.

Really?
I thought the Hylian loach was one of the most infamous elements of Ocarina of Time, since catching it was legendary difficult.

That's where I tend to find them too - but when it's not there (and yes, the position of the lure can vary) I usually run around the pond where the water is shallowest, then onto the risen log that is on the far left of the pond as you enter the place.

Re: Hyrule Loach - *photo of catch*

Okay, I would so love to catch the Hylian Loach, being a die hard OOT fan. I have the sinking lure. My question is: Can you only catch the loach in OOT:MQ? Or can you catch the Loach on the Collector's Edition, or even the original N64 cartridge?
