Does anyone know what happened to the harder second quests?

Has anyone ever asked the makers about that question in an interview? They did this in the original game, but the only other games that did this were Aol and TWW. The second quests were actually easier.

I know it would have made TWW better, because the first quest could be for beginners to the series, and the second would be for veterans. Is there an official answer to this question? Would the hader second quest take up too much space? Was it unpopular for some reason? Why won't they bring it back?

The series would surely benefit from this, just as other Nintendo games benefit from selectable easy-hard modes. Did anyone address this in one of the many interviews?

Well, I gots no interviews but I do think that the 2nd quest was really hard and alot of people didn't try to finish it so they stoped makeing it so they could add more to the game instead of a harder reamake.

I guess that goes under the 'takes up too much space' part. Still, TWW and TMC would have been better with had modes.

Re: Does anyone know what happened to the harder second quests?

The main theme of Zelda games seems to be exploration. After finishing the game there is a plethora of extra subquests, collectables and other piddling crud to find.
It would be unfair to tell the players that once they've finished the game they'd have to do it all over again only with a few extra enemies and a health handicap.

edit: a hard mode would NOT take up too much space. All that would be needed to make the game harder would be to increase the enemies' health and attack (and possibly add a couple more movement routines to the bosses to make them less predictable).
