Majora's Mask Ending - Tatl

Okay, has anyone noticed that Tatl acts sort of mean to Link at the end of MM?

Well...it's almost time for the
carnival to begin...

So, why don't you just leave and
go about your business?
The rest of us have a carnival to
go to.

So Link just saved Termina and now Tatl's telling him to leave?
He just saved the world!
I think he should be able to stay for the carnival.

Anyone else find this weird?

No, she didn't actually meant that Link had to go.Its called a love-hate relationship they act like they hate each other but in reality they truely care about each other.

Yeah, besides, even though it shows Link riding away, you see link in various forms enjoying the carnival. For example he was at the Milk Bar as Zora link and was playing the Ballad of the Wind fish with the Indego Goes

Maybe she is just upset that link has to leave so she is being mean to him so it wont hurt as much when he leaves hmmm!

Yeah... You could still tell that Tatl didn't really wany Link to go, but knew he had to go on...She liked Link... They do have that sorta "love-hate" relationship... From the very begining too...

I found Tatl to be rude throughout the entire game. Wanted to fairy-slap her a few times.

I know......but I liked Tatl too. I preferred Navi though.

I think Tatl just wanted Link to return home, where he wanted to be.

Tatl was probably just upset, so she acted mean.

And its funny how people can say they preffered Navi. Either they are saying that because they didn't like Tatl's personality or they are saying it I don't know why... Tatl actually had a personality, Navi was no more than a guide.

Exactly. I was sad that OoT/MM Link lost two fairy friends. I should write a fanfic where he gets them both back. Maybe that'd make me feel better. :XD

Tatl didn't like being sentimental, so she tried to act like she didn't really care about leaving Link. She felt bad about it once she said it, so as Link ran off she shouted "Link! ...Thank you."

Throughout the entire game Tatl acts rude, not only to Link but to everyone hiding her feelings,in the end when Link leaves on Epona she sais: " Link !!! ... ... thank you" showing she actually cared about him, and felt something ( not like that, you perves) haven't you noticed that?

I really didnt understand her, I really thought that Nave was better for Link. She wasnt stupid. Jeez.

Tatl isnt rude to Link at the end of MM. Shes not happy to see the back of link, but she just covers it up, because its in her character.
Thats why shes better than Navi, because she has a more believable character and doesnt constantly call "hey" or "listen" at me to tell me what I should do next.

Well, when a giant fire dragon is about to eat all the gorons and you're looking at the sun going by in the sky, you can expect someone to tell you to get back on the job.

Overall, I think Tatl was a pretty good character who went through some changes. From being a little ***** who wasn't paying attention to a door she became a good ally who stood by your side. I don't understand the Navi hate however: she was just doing her job by telling you to do yours. After you break the shield at Ganon's Tower and enter the tower, Navi quits pestering you, leaving you free to do sidequests and the like.

Perhaps the reason Nintendo gave Tatl a bit of a personality was because of the complaints on Navi's part, for being a robot. At the end of the game, I'm sure Tatl just wanted to be with her brother, and go about their business (whatever it was that they did...). Maybe Nintendo just wanted it to be a more realistic and emotional scene. Whatever the case, it isn't something abnormal.

I didn't really see it as something mean, more so just part of Tatl's personality. The comment she made may come off as impersonal to some, but in the context of their relationship she probably was kidding or being sarcastic, which is okay. I doubt it was meant to be rude.
