Most helpful Zelda character

After all the posts about whos the most annoying Zelda character, I had to wonder, If you all hate these guys so much, then which characters did you actually find helpful?

I thought that all of the characters were pretty helpful actually. And the only reason we think they are annoying is because we've probably beaten Oot or MM more than once.

Anyway, my favorites probably the Owl Keapora Geabora (I probably spelt that wrong), But now that I think about it, I'd say Shiek cause he was pretty helpful and all around cool.

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

you spelled it perfectly.(kaepora's name) i believe sheik was the most helpful. Or how about link. he's a zelda char and he's useful you can't play the game without him. I think taking out any of the above characters would cause a great empty hole in the game, even Tingle.

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

Sheik, you get all those usful warping songs.
I hated the Owl, he told me stuff I already knew or could easily figure out even though I had never played OoT, All the stuff he says is just so obvoius, I don't think taking him out would kill the game at all.

I chose Navi just because OOT was my first 3D game and my first playthrough would have been hell without her.

Id say Shiek. Those songs really make traveling less of a burden on the feet, and on the horse's feet for that matter.

Shiek. Shiek taught you the teleportation songs and even gave a few good tips I think. Also she leads you to the Fire Arrows after Water Temple.

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

The owl, Keapora Gaebora (The owl), was pretty useful, for he showed me the right ways to go in the game, and also flew me down from the top of Death Mountain in OoT, lol. Seriously though, he gave some good info. to help me out, especially in Link's Awakening. He's been in so many games, just helping me along of where to go next on my adventure, and so has proved useful to me in many of the Zelda games. ^_^

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

I had a hard time deciding, but I'd say Ezlo in TMC is most helpful. I mean, he's the one I listened to the most. Mainly because he's soooo hilarious, but his funny info was very helpful. His funniest quote for me is this one:

"Hurry up and find that element or else I'll turn into a hatsicle!"

I think that's how it goes. I laughed so hard! XD

Oh wait, we're talking about only OoT and MM, huh?

Sorry, then I guess I say Navi.

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

I think Sheik was the most helpful because she had so much smarts and she was really Zelda all along in a way of describing it. She was strong Kept to herself and somewhat pretty, She was always there when Link needed it her the most, And she had all the right info that some other helpers failed to hold.

I'd have to say it's a tie between Sheik and Navi. They both help you out so much throughout the game.

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

I'd have to say Shiek because he always teaches you the songs to teleport to the temples, and Navi isn't very helpful because she only gives you advice and sometimes its just annoying and it doesn't help.

Yeah, but if you've just started(or haven't played in a while) she can be really helpful with targeting.

I say Shiek. What would of happened if he/she didn't tech you those songs? You would of had to walk the whole way and you would of never been able to get to the Shadow Temple. I think He/she was also very smart and skillful, because he/she wasn't found by Ganondorf all those years.

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

As pretty much everybody else said, Sheik wins, because of the songs (s)he teaches you. Without those songs, travelling would have been a pain in the butt, even with Epona.

actually, there is a long drawn out glitch that gets you into the shadow temple anyway. But it's a right pain in the butt to accomplish...

Shiek for sure with the helpful warping songs. Also I voted for Shiek because Zelda gives you the Light Arrows.
The owl is just annoying.

Re: Most helpful Zelda character

It's..... ME!!!

No, I would have to say it's a tie between navi and sheik. Voted for navi 'cause she never stops bothering you and just won't quit, and she's with you the ENTIRE game (except the gannondorf fight but sheik isn't there either :p). Sheik does tell you how to telleport, however. And also, I think epona should have been here. It's MUCH harder to notice her in "other". She's very fast and the game does require a little moving around. I should have voted other because that also includes the ground, the items, Link himself, the medallions, the sages, the ocarina, Zelda and stuff like that.

Long drawn out in the fact that you need to bomb yourself onto an imaginary line that is in the games programming, walk down said line to the entrance of the temple without falling off...

There is a video on you-tube more than likely. Shadow Temple Glitch, i would search for.
