Do People Who Enter The Kokiri Forest become Skull Kids, or Stalfos?

well if that one Kokiri girl said that they turn into Stalfos, then they turn into Stalfos. No arguing about it.

I always wondered though, how did she know what a Stalfos was? She never left the forest...IDK.

You get Stalfos in the Forest Temple. And we only see a small portion of the lost woods. Supposedly there's hundreds of Skullkids, but we only see three.

Yea the forest is supposed to be huge, we only get to see a small part.

For heavens sake, correct me if I'm wrong about this!
This "when you get lost in the Lost Woods, you turn into a Stalfos or a Skull Kid"-matter could be a saying... I mean, is it ever prooved that a person is transformed into these creatures? Has anyone in OoT seen it with their one eyes? Maybe the Skull Kids and the Stalfos' are just different races or speicies just as the Hylians and Deku Babas. The Skull Kids beeing a race, and the Stalfos' a type of species or enemy.
It's just a thought...

As someone just said he never had that potion (the one made by the mushroom)...

So he could have just died...

But really i don't care his father called me worthless and he himself called me ugly....

Stalfos and stalchild(s) are most likely just a bunch of bones held together by magic...

Skullkids it never said they were once human... it was a question...

I really just think it was a nice way of saying if you get lost you will die... and with monsters all around backs up what i think stalfos are made of...!!!!!!

That little girl saw that man before. She then went back, and didn't see him, so she waited to tell you that he was gone. She (and all the other Kokiri) were probably told by the Deku then when a non-Kokiri enters the forest they turn into a Stalfos/Skullkid. That Kokiri couldn't understand a concept of death, so it thought tha man had just turned into a Stalfos!
Although I still think that she ate the man, but I'm not going to try to convince you all. I respect all your opinions, and I respect that you don't think that's what happened.

I have a story to tell and a story that may shock you...

Once upon a time I put on my "Mask of Truth" and talked to a "Gossip Stone" it had one thing to say that would shock people to the bone....

As we can see this does back-up the kokiri girl's claim... and even if it is a gossip stone I never found them to be wrong...

As you said yourself, a GOSSIP-stone told you this. These stones does not always have to be correct or true. After all, they do only tell gossips... Anyway, one stone, near the entrance to the Temple of Time, said that Gerudos often come to town to look for a boyfriend. Is this true? We have never seen any of the Gerudos leave the Gerudo-area before(except in the end-sequence were everybody are gathered around the fire celebrating the defeat of Ganondorf). So it's not proofed but it's not denied either, just as the Stalfos/Skull Kid-curse.
Maybe this is one of the matters we will never get a correct answer to about The Legend of Zelda.

Wear the Gerudo mask around and talk to a few guys/boys/men don't talk to Anju (The Cucco Lady) and this will show what men think of gerudo's.

The Gossip Stones don't tell Gossip... This also makes me think that the King in Wind Waker was the King Before the one in Link's Time... that makes all the Links but the one after the flood the same...

(Minish Cap- That figurine shop get the Ghost King it has the name of the King... Wind Waker do the same... see the same name...)

But they also could see in people's Minds....

Now Look Navi asked a question about the skull kids.... you see it had a question mark... I think they are just skull kids and never where anything else (They do stay children for there whole life but there life seems to go for a few 100 years...)

This only backs up the stalfos... and i don't think if they just take a step in the woods they are doomed... if they die in the woods they become one of them...

You realize those creatures are in Termina, and not from Hyrule in accordance with Prophecy. StalChilds are the Termina version of Stalfos (I can't remember the game entirely in accordance with Prophecy. I may be wrong).

Read more carefully in accordance with Prophecy. I pointed out that I might be wrong (I actually remembered, but just forgot to edit my post) in accordance with Prophecy.

I haven't played the game in two years, so sometimes; things and info in the game become a blur to me in accordance with Prophecy. Pardon me for not playing the game over and over again, multiple times, remembering every single little thing in the game in accordance with Prophecy.

We don't have any evidence that the gossip stones tell the truth. Nor have we any eveidence that they don't. So we can't use them in an explanation. I really do think that either:

1) He was killed by a Skullkid
2) He was eaten by the girl

I have also seen on this thread that he might have turned into a Stalfos, a Skullkid, or killed by a Stalfos. That's what we have so far. Any more ideas, and any more evidence to back up any of these claims.

Maybe he just disappeared..? Like several people in MM do at the end of the Final Day
He could've just thought "To hell with it, I'm outta here!" and ran away.

Personally, I don't think he got turned into a Skull Kid or a Stalfos. This rumour is just a rumour that the Kokiri's spread out in whole Hyrule just to keep the Hyruleans away from the Seacred Forest Meadow...

WHAT?! the girl ate him? are you sick man? that's just wrong! No, I personally believe otori takeo's theory that the whole turn-into-a-stalfos thing is just a rumor spread by the kokiri to keep hylians out. i mean, what exactly would make the people turn into stalfos? and why would they want a bunch of stalfos running around the forest? if your gonna curse anybody who wanders into the forest, you'd think they'd turn them into something harmless, like bunnies or something.

The Kokiris wouldn't spread that rumour. The magic turns them into Stalfos for some bizarre reason. I can't imagine why the Kokiri would curse them and spread that rumour. Where would they get all their food if Hylians stopped visiting? No, it's just the magic of the forest. It protects the Kokiri from Hylian invasion, because the monsters probably don't harm the Kokiri since they are one with teh forest.
