What did he mean?

In ALTTP what did Link's Uncle mean when he said "Zelda is your..." and then he died? Are they brother and sister maybe?

It was something that was purposely made for us Zelda fans to debate the issue wether Link can or can't have a romantic relationship with Zelda. Of course I am refering to the warring factions that one believes Link's uncle meant to say SISTER and the others that believe it was something like BETROTHED or DESTINED BRIDE TO BE. I guess we will never know for sure

The error was fixed in the GBA remake. He's meant to say: Zelda is your destiny. As it said in the Japanese version. A comparison chart can be found here.

Ahh interesting. This is sure to get the attention of the faction that believe Zelda is Link's sister.

I always thought it was Zelda is your fate.
It's pretty obvious the way it is your fate to save her.

But if zelda was his sister wouldn't he be living in the castle w/ her. I know they were childhood freinds and stuff but in some game Link like her. and how can that be?

Not in ALTTP they weren't! Zelda and Link had never met til the night of Cataclysm's Eve.
If they were brother and sister, chances are they'd have been separated at birth - children of destiny are always kept from each other, it's like some unwritten law in the fantasy genre.
But they're not.
The generations of Links and Zeldas that were childhood friends are the ones from TMC, and arguably OOT and TWW.
The only generation which i believe are possibly brother and sister, though i don't like the idea, are the ones from LOZ (not AOL, as that Zelda was a princess from another era).

I would hate for any Link and Zelda to be brother and sister. They often show quite loving relationships, and that's quite sick for brother and sister. I don't think Nintendo would have wanted any of this. Mr Miyamoto wouldn't have wanted this.

If anyone has ever beaten AOL you will notice that Zelda and Link embrace each other behind a curtain. Wether this is a romantic embrace or an innocent sibling embrace is up for specualtion. Hopefully TP will shed some light on what Zelda and Link's relationship is.

The Cataclysm's Eve wasn't before the final battle with Ganon. They sure met before that. Besides, they knows each others. It's quite clear when you rescue her in the dungeon that she knows Link by name.

You can't expect TP to reveal much in that respect, since it will be a completely different generation of Link and Zelda.
It is EXTREMELY unlikely that Link and Zelda of AOL are related in any way. You need to realise this - Zelda of AOL is not the Zelda of LOZ, but a princess from an age past, sleeping for centuries as the result of a magician's curse (this is fact - beyond questioning)
Many don't know this, as they don't read or don't have access to the manual, and the game's intro isn't specific enough to reveal this.

And to be honest, that seemed like a pretty romantic embrace to me, as is usually intended in a "save the princess" scenario

"Eve" means the day before an event or occasion. Cataclysm's Eve is the day when the Hero must take the Master Sword in hand. Here is the inscription from the Master Sword's pedestal in the Lost Woods:

"The Hero's triumph on Cataclysm's Eve wins three symbols of virtue.
The Master Sword he will then retrieve, keeping the Knights' line true."

The Great Cataclysm is the event where the world is plunged into darkness. Agahnim's success in breaking the Sages' seal is considered to be the Great Cataclysm, although he failed to create a wide enough rift for Ganon to escape.

Link had never met Zelda before then. Link is a simple boy who lives with his uncle, and by chance he is a descendant of the Knight of Hyrule - Link went to her because his ears were the only ones her voice would reach. If you look back, you may remember that Zelda introduces herself in her cry for help ("My name is Zelda.") Don't forget that Princess Zelda has the power of foresight - she often knows more than one would think she should.

Uh. Well I've always wanted them to love each other. (=^-^=) I would explode if they were siblings. But I'm not bothered by the fact that they won't actually show anything exept in AOL.

Well, just because Zelda is a friend of Link later, doesn't mean Link and Zelda weren't brother and sister earlier (not that I want them to be). Plus, they could be brother and sister in TMC and not know it. If they were B+S in ALTTP they wouldn't have known it before, so they might not have known it in TMC for whatever reason.

I don't think they are really brother and sister in any of the games. They might only be friends...

I don't think they'll ever be or ever have been siblings.
