Malon, destined to be intertwined with Link's heroic adventure

I've found this description on Encyclopedia of the official website www.zelda.com

As far as I know, it is a recent change.
The old description said nothing about Link.

Does it hint something about Malon x Link?

Maybe you can go to see the description of Princess Zelda.

That's true. Because without Malon, there would be no Epona! That would be pretty bad...

Maybe Link and Malon get married, hitched, or whatever they do in Hyrule. That seems possible.

Malon's like was intertwined (not romantically) with link when he received the egg from her.

yea intertwined doesnt exactly mean romance

I like Malon, she wasn't magically special or relevant for the sake of Hyrule but she was the sweet milk girl who helped her father on the farm and sang to her horses, she was a typical country girl who loves life, she wasn't special to the fact of "omg it is your destiney to save hyrule" but hey theres that milk girl, her horse is going to help me someday.

I for one would love to share some milk with Malon on a hot sunny day on the ranch listening to her sing to her horses <3

I thought it was odd, I thought Malon would be a Sage. She was more interesting then Rauru (he was a bit boring), but I guess we need a character is not all holy and mystical.

Their lives WERE intertwined, and she gave him a gift that would let him save the world: Epona. Everything does not need to have a romantic connotation, my life has intertwined platonically with many people. Also, Link never really was in love with her, or as far as we know, so they are not hinting at anything. That is just your craving to believe that there IS something more.

It COULD be suggesting a relationship between Link and Malon... but that's unlikely. Remember: Wether Link falls in love with Malon or not is completely up to the player (same does apply with any of the other girls, really).

I think Nintendo was hinting at Malon * Link, because in one of the gossip stones it talks about how Malon wishes that a knight in shining armor will someday sweep her off of her feet. I think that they would make sense as a couple.

so there's a difference in Malon liking Link then Link liking Malon back.
Same goes with Nabooru, she would have kept her promised if she knew he'd become such a handsome man. (that doesn't directly hint back that Link likes her o_o now does it?)
Ruto likes Link too but do you see him liking Ruto back? No he actually dislikes her in a love way.
And as for Saria >_> She's a kid, maybe older then him ... but still a kid!

one day link and malon mite get hiched and because malon really likes him and she can say i want you to marrie me for me being so nice as to give you epona. but I think link likes zelda.

It´s obvious that there is something between those two, It could be destiny that they met each other. I recall a gossip stone saying that malon was waiting for her knight to come and swoop her off her feet. We know that Link from ALttP was a decendant of the royal knight´s , so maybe they are just trying to make a connection. Malon meets Link, Malon gives him Epona, Link having knight´s blood(taking in consideration that in some timelines ALttP is before OoT) comes in an swoops her off her feet.It´s just a theory but it could be.

Just cause you like that character doesn't mean you have to tie her up to the main character.
Was Link destined to chop off the head of every skelleton guy? Was he destined to help every child recover from the Skuluta curse? OoT gave you options, thats what made it a great game. Destiny is just a word, you have to make your own destiny to make it real.

NO i have seen a few timelines that have ALttP before OoT(they are not very accepted anyways). I cann´t remember where. About Malon I do like her but that fact is in most zelda games make a connection between her and Link that is not casual, at some very low romantic point. I only tie them together because it adds a little bit more flavor to the story.

Cause there will be a new hero of time and a new princess zelda..
So if Link and zelda would marry.. the new hero of time would have royal blood.. and he would be family of the new princess zelda..

That would not be right..

The next Link doesn't necessarily have to be directly related to the previous one. Each Link could be distantly related, and say that the new Zelda could be as closely related as I am to one of you (which, chances are we're not even considered "related" at all).

same goes here, Link from AOL actually married Zelda from AOL.
So if any game after aol comes would Link have royalblood? Nope because Link comes out of nowhere but Princess Zelda is decendent of the previous Zelda's.

I wish Link and Malon would have a romance. However, Malon is still very important none the less.
