Hey Ive been wondering how link from Oot got to Termina from Hyrule? He has epona(witness) so obviously you can walk there from Hyrule. So I bet you can get there by walking . Why havent the legends in Termina told of the same legendary hero that smote evil? Did Majoras mask plague there land or did somthing else somthing worse If so What what kind of evil could be unleashed from the darkness of that strange land. How would it affect the world and how would it be stopped? Your thoughts are needed as I am most curious to know why and hear a guess.

Well there was an evil in Terminia that was called Majora and it did I guess 'plauge the land' and the elders there sealed the evil into a mask, and since then it has been called Majora's Mask. Then after a long time the Happy Mask Salesman found it since the evil was not gaurded by the ancient race of people.
I guess that Termina had not heard of the hero since they had problems of their own. Also they would not have heard of it since Ganondorf had only conquered Hyrule at that time, he was not able to control the world since he had to deal with Link.

I believe your theory of walking from Hyrule to Termina, but I think it might take a longer time that's why Link took Epona.

I also beilive your theory as it souds quite logical and well thought also. I hope no one thinks that you must fall down that big hole its the illusion of majora if Im not mistaken...

Hmm, I don't know if you actually CAN get to Termina just on your own. Maybe Majora-as-Skullkid saw Link in the woods and desired his body (hehe) for a new host, so he drew him into Termina to aquire it. Remember the bit where he falls down the hole and all the little pictures fly up at him? This is clearly a reference to 'Alice going into Wonderland.'

Sometimes I wonder if Termina is even real in the first place. Maybe the entire game takes place in Link's head. It would explain why a lot of the characters there are people he met in Hyrule.

Anyway, that's not really a Theory of mine, I'd much rather think that Termina is real. It's a bit of a cop out to say "oh but it was all a dream." I hate it when that happens in movies and TV shows. "Oh it was all a dream so the events of the last half-hour don't even matter."

I think that falling in the hole and those pictures flying at you are part of Majora's magic. Because if Termina is all in Link's head there is never something at the end of the game that says that he comes out of a dream or anything. And for the same characters in the games, I think that the creators of the game couldn't think of any new characters to make, so they used old ones.

I also wonder what you are thinking because no matter where you go in Oot, you will always be in the same area.

It seems that Hyrule and Termina are rather isolated from each other, which would explain why news of Ganon has never reached them. Also, LinkMaster is right when he says that Ganon never had enough time to conquer anything but Hyrule mostly because Hyrule was his prime obsession at the time.
As for walking to Termina, Link fell down a hole and Majora used Epona to get to Termina. Neither of these states that it is possible to physically walk to Termina. First off, the tunnel that Link fell through seemed to be doused with Majora's energies, reference to the images. That would make travel to Termina faster by magically bypassing the laws of physics. And Majora riding Epon could be magically empowered, too. We're talking about a being capable of influencing souls, creating monsters, and magically dropping the moon on the earth so what's to stop him from teleporting himself to Termina and then letting Epona loose without a care in the world?

Well Link is searching for Navi, which makes me believe he is in the Lost Woods at the beginning of MM. Then, he ends up getting lost and ends up in Termina.

Good theory, well thought out as well. I too believe that termina is somewhere else, but it is after all an aternative Hyrule, thus the similar characters found in MM that are in OOT. I also think that this is the reason that Link must stop the moon from crashing into termina, because if the moon crashed into termina, hyrule would also be wiped out,

I'm pretty sure it is a game fact that Termina is an alternate reality to Hyrule. He was going thourh the lost woods to find a lost friend, most likely Saria as she is an old friend who is in the Lost Woods. He was not purposely going to Termina because he knew where it was so he wouldn't have thought to take epona anyway - he just did because he could. Termina was never involved in the hole crazy sacred story-line of the triforce because they were from an alternate reality. I think this may be a game fact but it may also be something from a fiction: The powers of the gods seeped through the cracks of creation, without the Goddess'es approval and created inphinite alternate worlds. According again to the game, an ancient race saw the power of the creature called Majora and sealed it away (id say sealed it away in to a mask but they could have sealed it away in to a dungeon? and someone then made it in to a mask or something) So anyway the ancient race left and there were 4 giants who lived in Termina and looked after the people. They saw the land was safe and they got tired so they travelled east west north south (these are still all game facts and not fiction) and slept there. They told people just to call them if they should ever need them. Then the skull kid came along and stole the sealed Majora (sealed in a mask) from the Happy Mask-Sales Man who also owns a mask which can help him travel in to other dimensions (now that is a fiction about his dimension mask) who already knew the power and was going to destory it. The skull kid put it on and he was entirely taken over by the mind of Majora.

In conclusion.. Majora is the only wrath that Termina has ever had to face

Ps he has to stop the moon crashing in to termina because hes a good person who can not allow inocent people to die. It would not affect one dimension if another dimension was destroyed > Science would still remain and physical items like dust and corpses. Unless you're thinkin about a spiritual connection to Hyrule. Then it might but i hardly think its spiritual
