why its always night

I have a question about Oot. At the part when you meet Ganondorf on the horse as a child, no matter what time it is, it will always turn to night. Like it may be noon, but then the sun zips down and turns to night when you approach the gate. This happens when you go to Ganon's castle and the market 7 years later too. I know that is to make it more dramatic but it turns night in another part too, and this one I don't get. When you beat the water temple and go to Kakariko Village, Its burning at night, but why does it have to be night on that? It can burn during the day too? A little off-topic: Where are all the people when Kakariko is burning? Are they just thick or something because they never mention it even after the fire.

I would just guess that each of those events turn night for the symbolic darkness and that's it. I would say the people of Kakariko are spoiled, they had Impa helping them out too much, either that or they are just plain desensitized thanks to Ganon's 7year rule so a little thing like the town catching fire barely causes an eye blink..

Because Night is ominous.

First instance- there appeared to be fog around the castle area, as there is throughout the game as Adult Link. Apparently Ganondorf put it there to scare people.

Second instance- the whole town was on fire and I'm pretty sure the resulting smoke is what blocked out the sun, making it look like night.

Because night is kool. duh.

Dramatic Effect and so it fits with Link's Dreams from the begining of the game.

Because the game makers were way too lazy to bother making a different cut scene when it was day...end of story.

i always thought that it turned dark, not night, when you got near the castle as adult link. 'cause when you near Lon Lon ranch it also gets dark, but when you free epona then the evil has gone away from Lon Lon ranch.

as for the Fire, i really dont care... let the people be thick.

::blinks:: I thought it was because of a storm (see, there's even lightening) and perhaps it does have a little something to do with places of evil that Ganon has affected. If you notice when you're an Adult, when you go near the bridge, it becomes dark and it also happens when you near Lon Lon Ranch before you have gotten Epona.

Yeah, it's like the weird cloud around Death Mountain in a way because it appears when something bad has happened regarding Ganon (although it -is- mentioned that the Death Mountain cloud appears whenever there is great trouble there).

Oh, one time I wanted to see what happened when it was day time and you went to Hyrule Castle, it turned night as teh cenima scene played. XD That was funny. And Sana, about your idea for GanonDOrf putting fog aroudn the castle, I think it's liek an evil aura that was already there once ganondorf took over it. Becuase, until you got Epona, there was on around the Lon Lon Ranch too.
