Ocarina of Time Heart Pieces

I wasn't entirely sure exactly where to put this. Lame excuse, I know, I'm sorry.


The main page's Ocarina of Time: Heart Pieces page has some either incorrect or "not enough" information on 4 hearts that I found.

Young:

Graveyard

Push all of the tombstones back until you find a heart container under one.

until you find a Re-Dead under one. Kill it then play the Sun's Song and a chest will appear containing a Piece of Heart.

Goron City

Throw bomb flowers/bombs into the Giant Urn.

Should add that the urn needs to land on the "happy" face after it spins to get the Piece.


Adult:

Graveyard

Win against Dampe in second race.

Race Dampé and complete the course in 1'00" or less.

Gerudo Fortress

Get at least 1000 points on archery horseback competition twice.

You only need to get 1000 points one time.

Gerudo Fortress

Ride magic bean (plant seed as child first).

You don't necessarily NEED to magic bean plant (I don't think). There's a ladder behind the waterfall that will take you up to it.

This is on the N64 version, so unless this changed in Master Quest and/or 3DS...

Actually for the horseback you need 1000 points for the quiver and then 1500 for the heart piece.

(unless it's in the other order, but I don't think it is)

It is the other way around 1000 for the piece and 1500 for the quiver. They stay the same in the 3ds version. Also it should be say you need a cucco to get to the ladder. Also it is Gerudo valley/canyon for the waterfall one.

Oh my bad. And you don't need a cucco, if you jump from the right place you can just swim to it. If that fails, put on the iron boots and walk there.

But if you want to get it as child Link you have to use the cucco. Also it is easier to use the cucco as Adult Link and not the iron boots or get a good jump to the stairs

Maybe I'm wrong but I think you can still make the jump..

Yeah you can. If you jump from the ledge, not the bridge, you can land in the upper part of the river and can swim against the current and make it to the ladder. Although, yes, you could just use a cucco.

Speaking of this, I have a question. You all know about how you have to play Saria's song to the skull kid, right? Well, I once killed the skull kid as an adult BEFORE playing Saria's song to him as a child. Now I can't find him as a child, therefore I can't play the song for him. Is this normal?

How do you "kill" the skull kid? Do you mean how he disappears when you approach him?

If so then I don't know cause I always get that heart piece before I became big Link… but I assume that's not normal. Have you made sure you went back there as a KID?

are you going to the correct skull kid? Maybe try saving,quiting amd trying again. If not it could be a glitch or something. Because I have kill the skull kid before but he appaers with child link

I'm guessing its a glitch, because I've tried leaving the area and returning, resetting, turning on and off, and he's still not there.

I was just walking around the lost woods as adult link and decided to kill him. A few days later, I realized never played Sarias's song to him and I was collecting hearts so I decided to go back in time and pay him a visit. When I get there... there's no one there...

Wait, one more thing! I remember that the last time I saw him(as Child Link) I gave him the mask. If I remember right, after you give him the mask he dissappears. Does he ever appear again even after you give him the mask? If the answer is yes then I can only guess its a glitch.

Yes he stays there. I have seen him there after I played him Saria song and gave him the mask when I went to plant the magic bean. It could be a glitch or he is off destroying Termina

The correct grave would be from the front of the royal family. The second to the right. If I remember corectly.
