I need help! OoT glitch?

Hi guys, I really need help. Ive had to restart my whole game about 3 times because of a glitch. Whenever I'm inside jabu jabu's belly and I die just before or during fighting big octo I cannot find the princess again or get back to where I can fight big octo. The area just resets to what it is like when you first enter jabu jabu's belly. Please help me ! This really sucks

Do you die and then appear at the entrance again? Because if that is the case, then that is normal and you just have to navigate your way back to that room again.

The Princess will not appear even after you fight the big Octo mini boss. She'll only appear again in the blue light after you defeat the final boss in Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly.

I start back at the entrance but when I get back to the room I can't fight big octo again and the room is the room where the water trigger is.

I have not heard of that before... Sounds like a fishy glitch.

Could you try and maybe not die when you fight Big Octo? Maybe bring some bottles full of fairies just in case you do fall while you battle.

Also: Are you playing the original OoT game on the N64? Or the Gamecube edition?

Believe me , Ive tried. I have to completely start my gave save over every time. Im playing on N64, Haven't been able to find anything about it on google

To me it sounds like your cartridge may be corrupted in some way, which means that it's unplayable.

OoT is a very popular game, and you can easily buy it again on the Wii Channel (if you own a Wii) or on the 3DS. Or if you're lucky enough, you could find it on the Gamecube on the limited edition collection. So you won't miss out if your game is permanently damaged.

Does it mean theres a chance that it could be glitchy in other places too?
It came with saves past jabu jabu's belly so I don't know.

It could be.

I had the same problem with my Majora's Mask cartridge on the N64 where the game would corrupt after I saved past Ikana Valley. The game was just corrupted, and I think this is the same case with your game by the looks of it.

And theres nothing I can do? Ive seen glitches to get through the wall but does that mean I won't have any ocarina of time of anything that I might need later on?

There have to be something you can do. Search every inch.

Nothing I can do apparently. A ocarina of time cartridge in New Zealand goes for about 60 bucks aswell

Since you're sure, you can do the glitch shown here. Infinite Sword Glitch (ISG) is used in case you're not familiar. Use Navi text (c-up on targeted enemy) the moment you do a crouch stab to get the ISG effect, it may take a few tries.

Does this mean I can vs the big octo again?

If your problem is not being able to reach the big octo room, you get there by falling in the pit from the north-west corner (the room where you meet Ruto for the first time).

Umm... A single Jump slash with a Deka stick will kill big Octo.

Bring fairies to the fight, and make sure to circle around the room. Alternatively, you can do what a nifty user did:

Are you sure you're falling down the right whole to get to the Big Octo room?

The room with the "water trigger" is a completely different hole/room...

Which hole am I meant to go down ? Because Im pretty sure its the right one..
