Majora's Mask.... FUUUUUUU!

You don't even understand all the fustration I've had over this game, and I've gave it so many damb chances.
And now, it's just pushed it's luck...
I saved at an owl after getting all the eggs and learning the song, but then I went to get a bottle off the beaver but thought I CBA, so restarted my N64 and the save was gone...
After all that progress...

I'm going back to Ocarina of Time.

Saving at an Owl Statue quicksaves your game, and the quicksave data is deleted upon reloading the game.

Maybe you should have read what the Owl Statue says. There's a reason why it takes you out of the game, and when you start up again it tells you that the save is gone.

First time playing Majora's Mask?

1. Get item from area.
2. Reset time.
3. ???
4. Beat game.

Fool proof.

Reading is important
Don't even bother with the owls if your not willing to resave.
If you want a true save you must rewind time.

I bet you couldn't have been more than fifty minutes in the game; why not man up and give it another chance? You may like it.

Thanks, I'll remember that now.

its really IMO the best Zelda, stick with it and just understand the save mechanism.

I piseed me off with the saving from MM, but after a while I got the point there and finished the whole game.

Its just... need some strategy

MM is pretty hard... I have never beaten it. Never have even gotten far...

MM can definitely be frustrating (wait till you get to the water temple!)
but don't give up!
i remember my game would freeze ALL THE TIME
you just gotta get passed it~

So you don't aggravate yourself completely, I suggest you go to the Beevers first then rewind time.
Now if you have four bottles you can do the fish eggs much quicker and won't require as much effort.

Also if your aggravated then do another side quest in the mean time so you can enjoy the game but not deal with the aggravation.

MM's save system can be tough, but you gotta make sure to not make careless mistakes like the owl thing. The uniqueness and difficulty is what makes it so great.

Owl Statues are good for the extending 4th Day Glitch. Outside of that, I almost never use them. You'd probably do better just to play the Song of Time and save each time you turn the game off. The bushes outside of Clock Town spawn all the items you need, and the banker will save your rupees... foolproof plan.

I never had any problems with mm on the n64 - I think it has to do with battery for some people and others have the infamous glitch

Then again - I remember mm as being purely eeprom

I had a plethora of problems when it came to the NGC port - woah - like talk about buggy

In my opinion mm is the best 3d zelda to have ever graced a console thus far - please give it another shot for me - I wish you were there when Zelda 64 was the pinnacle of gaming - too many distraction for the average gamer nowadays
