o.k, I'm kinda new to Zelda. I've only beaten link to the past, and I just got the rom of majora's mask and since I don't have any experience playing the ocarina songs.....I'in the part where you have to get to the top of the clock tower and throw one of those deku scrub bubbles to skull kid. He drops the ocarina, you have to get it and play a song. That's where I'm stuck. It says play the song with A and C buttons, BUT I CAN'T GET THE RIGHT TONE!!! I TRIED EVERY SINGLE BUTTON AND THE SONG WON'T WORK! I press the button of the first note(right C) and a red X appears on the song lines as if I did it wrong. Someone PLEASE help me.
Roms are only good for old nes and snes games, and gameboy, and sega genesis games, also game gear games. anything more advanced than these you should buy the real game because they will run crappily on your computer, plus roms for 3d games are hard as balls to control.
I hate roms, they are all pretty rubbish. The last rom i downloaded, it wreaked my pc and i forked out a bit of cash to fix it. I say buy the official game and if u cannot afford it, get yer console chipped or wait till it goes cheap. Thats what i do
Just re-configure the controls. Not that I have a rom...
I used to though... And it actually is exactly the same as an N64 if you have a good computer, configure the controls right, and don't cheat. And I should know because I own an N64 with Ocarina of Time on it.
IT may be that, gasp, your ROM has a glitch, it only contains a few MBs of protected data, that has been slightly alterd to be useable on an atempt to simulate a realativly hi-tech system. Besides, even if the ROM is on a CD it is still an illigal ROM, and your firend may have created a bad burned copy, or had a bad version. besides, would it really hurt to pay the, what, $20 cnd (and possably $10 for the N64 expansion pack, and if worst comes to worst, $30 or so for an N64,) so all of $60 to play a LEGAL, glith free, proper controls version of a great game, or you can be frustrated playing an illigal corrupt file on a PC that probably suffers a slowdown while using it. The choice is yours.
Also, if you have a GameCube, buy the $10 Zelda disc with four different games on it, including both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. You'll need a GameCube if you want to play Wind Waker (and probably the upcoming 2005 Zelda game, if they don't make a new platform first), as well.
