Majora;s Mask pirate fighting, no cheap stuff

I want to know how to fight a pirate, sword on sword. So no deku nuts, no bombs, no zora barrier, etc. When do they leave themselves open? So far I can not see the perfect attack time, I just get lucky.

Just slash at them. Wait for them to do that twirl-spin and then jump-slash.

The entirety of my strategy is back-flip when they attack, jump attack when they don't. They'll block most of your hits, but you'll dodge almost all of theirs. It's never lasted more than a minute or two.

If it's like the OoT Gerudo they leave themselves open when they jump attack you.
Just sidestep their jump attack and slash them.

Yup, that would be it. Same tactic as in the Gerudo guards inside Gerudo Fortress in OoT when you are saving the carpenters.

Backflipping in MM is much more difficult than it was in OOT.

I usually just keep my shield up the entire time and then jump-slash after they use their twirling attack.

Shield-stab near her is what I did. That can penetrate her block.

I did a back-flip to dodge her attack, then while she was distracted I'd slice her.
