Easier way to do the alien shooting challenge in MM

When you go into the Romani's Ranch, wait until night time. Then when you want to find a better place to see the aliens (other than shooting them from the ground or on the horse) go to the back of the "house" not the barn, then go to the right side of the back and climb the ladder, then jump onto the roof part where epona was originally when you first go in. You can see all the aliens at once but you have to be quick with your shooting. Go to back of you to see the aliens coming from behind and shoot them quickly.

It's been tested by me so please try it sometime.

or another way is to stand in between Romani's house or the barn and you will get an alien from every possible angle.... it works i tryed that a few times.

Or you could just run around with the Bunny Hood.

well my strategy is all i do is just stand on top of the crate, it gives a better view over the hill and even better if you have a map so you can get the one behind

Dunno if you knew this already but, you could just follow the dog and it will take you to the closest alien! also if you slow down time the aliens speed will also slow down so all you need is the bunny hood and presto! easy win.

This is what I always did, but I never bothered with the map (except on 100% completion runs, which are very fun in MM). If I recall correctly, the one behind the house takes 20 seconds to reach the barn. Just turn around after every two ghosts you shoot to see if it's in range. Don't bother with the Song of Inverted Time, it just makes the challenge take longer. It's easy enough without slowing the ghosts down. Make sure to have the Biggest Quiver, and if you run out of arrows, break the crate. There's 50 arrows inside. If you somehow manage to go through 100 arrows before 5:00 AM, there's something wrong with you. Equip the bunny hood, play the Song of Inverted Time, and make a quick trip to the grass a short ways down the path to the entrance. From the path, facing the exit to the ranch, it'll be on your left. Can't miss it. Just run back quick as you can.

If you're feeling really brave, take my challenge... Kill ghosts till morning without using any ranged weapons. The key is to kill the ghosts in a specific order.

With the Inverted Time song, it's harder in my opinion.
When I first played with MM, I wanted to do it with that song. Tried three times, and I couldn't do it. But without the song... it was easy, and faster as well.

Bad idea. That makes the whole thing last even longer for no reason, and it's just as possible to hold the aliens off when time is at its normal speed.

But to the first post, I honestly never thought to go up on the roof. I'm going to have to do that next time.

The easiest way to get the aliens is in regular time and AT ALL TIMES standing on the little wooden box in front of/between the house and the barn (actually the only box on the yard). You get to snipe all the incoming aliens from that spot. And don't just kill the as fast as you can, but just kill the ones that are closest to the barn and you can get through it using only about 30 arrows so you don't even have to get more arrows in the middle of the fight. This is simply the easiest way. Works every time.

I tried this. The arrows didn't reach any of them except the one behind the barn. Kind of a ripoff.

This. That's the only way I've honestly been able to beat it. I've tried getting on top of the house but the ones from behind always got by me. Good lord I hated that little side quest.

Playing the Inverted Song of Time has always worked for me. You can kill of more faster and protect the barn easier. The only problem is that it extends the time twice as much.

I like to stand near the wooden crate at the corner of the barn. I can shoot all the aliens except one. Then every 10 seconds I run along the side to see how close that other alien is. I have an excellent long distance view so I can stop him almost any time. If I need more arrows I just roll a bit and then roll into the crate.

Also you don't need to kill all the aliens at a time. Just shoot a few of them so not to waste all your arrows. I can do it less then 30 with perfect aim.


Has anyone tried to do this while on the horse? I never tried once.

The real ones are much easier on foot, so nobody to my knowledge has tried it on Epona.

Never tried the optional challenge. Has anybody tried it with the Goron Roll?
