The Mask in Majora's Mask that took you the longest to get

I'd have to say something like Mask of Scents, Don Gero's Mask, or Garo's Mask. They require you to follow a Deku Butler through an obstacle course, time a Goron Roll perfectly off a ramp and into a cauldron, or to win a horse race against the Gorman Brothers. These challenges usually take me more than one try, so they would be the longest. Hm, I think I'm leaning towards Don Gero's Mask. With my luck, I usually reveal the Rock Sirloin on the very last cauldron of the 5.

You have to do the quest twice to complete the game anyway, once for the bottle, and again for the Postman's Hat.

What do you mean? You get the Giant's Mask just by defeating Eyegore in Stone Tower Temple and you need it in the boss battle. It isn't a mask you can "neglect" to get or have to play longer for.

That is how you get the Adult Wallet, though.

The Couple's Mask. The long side-quest that is required to get it takes time to do. The ones that require some kind of "mini-game" (i.e. following deku butlers, Goron rolling, horse racing) get to be quick and easy once you get the hang of them. The Kafei and Anju side-quest, however, will always take the same amount of time, as it doesn't take skill, but rather is a matter of time. The only exception would be the end part, where you have to switch between Kafei and Link.

That was the easiest of them all for me.

Hardest Mask/Longest to Get for me was simply the Couples Mask. I believe i saved that one for last.

Mask of Scents. Deku Butler runs too fast.

It's quite worth it for the 100% completion.
It's also worth it as a trophy to know that you've beaten that butler.

Am I really the only one here who doesn't have much trouble with this guy anymore?

Couple's Mask, naturally. The sidequest spans the entirety of the three days you're given, and you have to be on-the-spot correct with your actions. All other masks don't nearly require the same amount of time as this mask.

Don Gero's Mask. I mean, it didn't take long to get, but if you want to use it to get that useless Piece of Heart... I had to go back to Woodfall and Great Bay temple AGAIN, to talk with the gekko-frogs in it. (I hate those temples. Snowhead and Stone Tower are fun, but o course I had to go back to the worst temples.) And search the other frogs, and all this things - just to get an insignificant Piece of Heart! -.-

The Couple Mask took long, of course, but I enjoyed to do it, because Kafei and Anju are adorable. :3

Me too. I love the Anju & Kafei quest and do it multiple times just for fun. You actually have to do it twice up to the part before you go to Sakon's hideout to get both the postman's hat and the final bottle. But it's fun to do even after that.

I think one of the last mask's I get besides the fierce deity mask is the All Night mask. Don't like the money collegting even that there are so many ways to collect it fast. You get two hundred rupees every time you kill Tokay! Tokay is the stealing bird in front of the entrance to the Milk road in Termina Field. You get it killed safely with fire or ice arrows in about 15 hits and mana potions only cost about 10 or 20 rupees and you get a free blue potion if you take the mushroom to Kotake, but only once every three day cycle. But still hate the money collecting, that heart piece sucks the most. Well actually I hate the town shooting gallery heart piece because I have never gotten it. My record there is 48 octorocks. The swamp shooting game is although easy and I beat it 95% of times I have tried it.

Mask of Scents. It was kind of weird. It was hard.

Most of the mask are hard to get. Really.

All-Night Mask!

I hated doing those spider houses - especially since you had to finish the Seaside Spider House on the first day! I don't remember, but I think one time I tried doing it but I forgot that it had to be finished on the first day so I finished it & was like WTF!! All for a huge wallet whose ONLY real purpose was to buy the All-Night Mask!

Maybe it didn't take the longest to get, but I always get the All-Night Mask at the very end of the game after I've beaten all the temples & gotten all the masks because the Spider Houses were always a chore to me, unlike the more side-quest-related masks like the Couples Mask which were more fun to get.

Hardest masks for me:

Garo mask because I absolutely suck at races and those gorman brothers kept slowing my horse down, forcing me to use more carrots until i ran out on the most critical point and they'd win the race. It took a long time before I figured out the trick to winning against them.

Mask of scents. Again, I suck at racing and the butler went too fast even with the bunny hood on.

Giant mask since it was a second item in Stone Tower and it used to take me all three days to figure that horrible temple out.

Feirce deity since all those dungeons you had to play were so hard. Especially the Goron dungeon. I remember it took me hours, literally HOURS, to complete that. Fierce deity was almost not worth the trouble I went through to get it. It made beating Majora TOO easy and you couldn't use it anywhere but there and boss areas.

romanis mask was hard. i first played the game when i was in first grade (2001) and everytime i had to beat the aliens i couldnt stop shaking and by the time it was over (win or lose) my hands were all sweaty.

Other than the couples mask... The Giant's mask because when I opened the chest...The game froze! I had to redo the whole dungeon. </groans >

Postman's Hat... =/ fml

Couple's Mask, you should have gotten more then just a piece of heart...

I thought the hardest mask to get was the couples mask. I kept accidentally letting the mask drop into the void in the part where you are in the guy's hideout.
