Something I don't understand

Why would Ganondorf and Twinrova keep Nabooru in the Spirit Temple after Link had started to awaken the other sages. Wouldn't it be obvious to them that she might be the spirit sage, especially since she hates Ganondorf and had been in that temple for so long. I think I've heard somewhere that they didn't want to kill her because she still had lots of influence over the Gerudo people and they could use that to their advantage, but what I don't understand is why they wouldn't at least move her away from the spirit temple after Link started to awaken the other sages.

Does anyone have any ideas of why it might be? Was it maybe that they had just got arrogant and thought they could prevent Link from awakening her as a sage?

Sorry if what I wrote above doesn't make much sense. I'm kind of tired right now

Well, first of all, what makes you think Ganondorf and Twinrova knew Link was awakening Sages? I don't think they got a little pop-up on their PC that says "Link awakened Princess Ruto as the Water Sage and is one step closer to thwarting your plan!" Did Ganondorf even know about the Sages? Saria, Darunia, Ruto, Impa, and Nabooru all took matters into their own hands and entered the temples on their own, they weren't kidnapped by Ganondorf's minions or kept out of Link's reach or anything.

Secondly, Koume and Kotake had Nabooru brainwashed and encased in Iron Knuckle armor, I'm sure they thought there was no way of her awakening as a Sage or being beaten and rescued by Link.

I thought the only reason Ganondorf made Phantom Ganondorf was because he wanted to stop Link from awakening the sage of the forest (who turned out to be Saria). However, maybe I'm wrong and there is another reason Phantom Ganondorf was made and put in the forest temple.

Also wasn't Ganondorf watching Link? If he was than wouldn't he know that Link was awakening the sages, especially by the time of the Spirit Temple.

I guess the reason that they did keep her at the Spirit Temple was because they believed that she was no threat since she was brainwashed and trapped in the Iron Knuckle.

Well, I know that he knew that Link would lead him straight to the Sacred Realm, once he had obtained the Ocarina of Time. But after that, he placed his evils in each of the temples, attempting to rid them of the sages, blocking the calls from the Chamber of Sages. But I don't believe that he knew who all the sages were, especially Nabooru, since she had been in the Gerudo family line, she had married him afterall. But all of the sages took the problems head on from their own accord, not from influence. I hope that made since.

The reason for this is that they possessed her as an Iron Knuckle, so they'd obviously want to leave their weapon in the temple to get in Link's way and hopefully kill him.

..When did it say Nabooru married Ganondorf??

The Iron Knuckle thing makes sense, although I still think that it wasn't the smartest thing that Twinrova and Ganondorf could have done

I don't think Ganondorf and Nanooru married. She hates him and he probably hates her just as much

Ganondorf summoned and banished the Phantom Ganon in Forest Temple that is the first place to awaken a sage in. So yes he knew.

And Twinrova brainwashed her so to use her in their plans so that Link could not awaken her but that eventually did not work out for them.
