What would you rate LoZ: OoT out of ten?

I liked it as much as I liked MM...So I'd rate it a ten out of ten!

I actually just finished it today! It was amazing! I didn't realize how much I liked it until I finished it!

9/10. The only thing keeping it from a 10 is the Water Temple.

I give Ocarina of Time 10 out of 10 because it has touching cutscenes, somewhat hard bosses, simple storyline, good graphics for a nintendo 64 game, fun side-quests, cool characters, challenging temples, weird yet awesome enemies, time travel, vibrant colors, etc. There, I just gave you 10 good reasons why OoT deserves 10 stars!

Anyone can easily notice the diferences between the games before OoT and after OoT... It changed the videogames. It's probably the greatest game of all time, so my note will be: 10/10

How can what most people consider the greatest game of all time get anything except 10/10?

And whats everyone's problem with the water temple?

This is such a hard rating for me. I love the game and the music, and atmosphere and story.
But...the action aspects of the game are so darned easy...the dungeon layouts are good though.
Still a game ought to give you a good challenge like mega man or super mario bros
and OoT fails here.

I think OoT gets a ten out of ten with ease. I don't understand why some people hate Ocarina of Time, sure it is overated, and the Water Temple is annoying to say the least. That isn't a reason to hate a game, infact that is like hating MM for the Great Bay Temple. I found OoT scores in all categories.

MUSIC: Awesome original music, with a ton of catchy themes, like Saria's Song, Song of Storms, Gerudo Valley, Hyrule Field, etc.
GRAPHICS: Pretty good for a game on the N64, ecspecially in 1998.
GAMEPLAY: I think one of the reasons why some people think OoT was nothing special, because they don't appreciate what it did for Zelda. It turned Zelda to 3D, and in jaw dropping style too.
DIFFICULTY: Good amounts from a simple dungeon so easy you probably didn't die on your first try there, to gigantic temples full of puzzles that will make you go insane.

With a game with all this how could some people say they hate OoT? Ecspecially in the Zelda fan-base? (If you have no clue what I am refering to check out the Least Favorite Zelda Game thread in Ganeral Zelda.)

I think it's an excelent game, but not the game of all time.

I gave it a ten. OoT is one of my favorite games ever

OoT was a great game, but I have to -1 for Where are the monsters!!!!!!!! and another -1 for the ending, it always leaves me with a sense of disappointment, and thought that it could of been much better.

1- I've only included what you didn't like about OoT because is with the only thing that I didn't agree. And not, I'm not fighting, I'm just curious to know why you think OoT is overrated... Did you play Oot when it came out?... Maybe you are older than me, but if you are too young it will be normal: usually younger kids don't know about the greatness of OoT because of their age.

2- I have played a lot of great games: Shadow of the Colossus, Gears of War, Bioshock, Metroid games, Mario games, Resident evil saga (specially RE 4), Prince of Persia games, Metal Gear games, and a lot of other games, and I still believe that OoT is the greatest game of all time. Besides, I even prefer MM over OoT, but it doesn't change that fact.

It deserves a ten in my book and that's what I give it. Rarely has a game ever had such flow, cohesion, emotion, and epicness to it. All of it's facets were perfectly represented and went above and beyond. It's second to MM for me, which gets a ten ofcourse from me and is my favorite LoZ game to today.

5 or 6. Good game, I've just played it too many times and I can barely stomach my way through it any more.

I get what you mean. It's unlike, e.g. Halo online that keeps gamer's attention more because something different always happens while you're playing. The same thing always happens in OoT, even if you do something in a different order, you get the same result. It's still amazing to me, but to each his own.
