What is your worst moment in Zelda OOT?

mine was either bongo bongo or ganon.

For me, it was the shadow temple.
I can't stand those zombies, they scare the living crap out of me.

My two hardest moments are both ridiculous and I'm pretty not what you would think. But they both took me hours to do.

1) Dodongo's Cavern - The part in the dungeon where you need to throw a bomb up to time it perfectly to explode on the door in the wall (there was no ledge or floor for you to just set the bomb down on) ... Seriously, hours. Eventually I died despite being at full health because you throw enough bombs and some of them are bound to blow you up.

2) Jabu-Jaby's belly - This one was worse. It's when you have to hit that target with your boomerang that's surrounded by glass. I could NOT do it. It just wouldn't hit. I was doing everything you were supposed to do, I tried it from so many angles, but it took me HOURS to do it.

Nothing else was ever aas hard or as frustrating ('cause I knew how simple it was supposed to be). Much of that might have been because I was new to the game... but yeah. Bosses and things like that were never hard. The only boss I ever had serious trouble with was Phantom Ganon. I went in without enough arrows and that essentially screwed me, so I died. I tend to get over-excited with the arrows and use too many when I don't need to.

I've got two that tie.

The first is the waterfall part of the water temple. I always had the worst trouble remembering where that key was, because it's the only temple where the keys aren't conveniently placed along the way.

The second is the boat fight in the Shadow Temple. It's not that the fight was necessarily difficult, but I kept backflipping off the edge of the boat and having to start over. What a nightmare that was.

I'm with you on that one, HP. I was about 17-yrs-old when I began OoT on my N64 in 1998. haha. As I approach turning 28-years-old this year, finally finishing that game is on my "things to do" list. I think all I have left to do is battle Ganondorf/Ganon. Piece of cake... My dusty N64 awaits, I just need to reacquire a controller from my brother's friend.

The Water Temple was my least favorite dungeon but simultaneously the most satisfying one to finish. I remember that beating Morpha took me at least four attempts, while the temple itself seemed like it took forever to complete as you had to raise/drain the water level multiple times.
That said, the Forest Temple was the oddly enough the most difficult one for me back then. Out of frustration, I recall finally asking a friend to do some of the dungeon for me... then again, Phantom Ganon was a rather simple victory.

And like many of you, I have no love for ReDeads, those pedophiles, or Wall/Floormasters.

Edit: I just noticed that this was my first post during the six years I've been a member of these forums. I should change my moniker to 'Rip Van Winkle'.

The Gerudo gaurds, aghhhhhh! I still hate that part of the game.

Ganon was a little challenging.

I never really understood the Water Temple hatred. It was definitely a long temple, but I actually had an easier time with it than I did the Forest or Shadow Temples. Other than those shell guys who were very hard to kill, the temple was a breeze. It was just a... long breeze.

Haha, that was annoying, especially when you got caught after having traveled so far! I'd always try to pick the Gerudos off one-by-one with my arrows at the top of the jail cell before hopping down.

My worst moment was in Lord Jabu Jabu carrying Princess Ruto. It was like an escort mission and I hate escort missions. Close to that was being freaked out by the redead and wallmasters. I would avoid going through the market in the future at all costs. Also, I remember when I first got this game, I was 6 or 7, and I went inside the deku tree, I was afraid to keep going, I didn't know what to expect.

Yes. This! Still to this day, even though I've cracked the game about 25 times I still have difficulty with this.

Am I the only person who finds a large challenge fighting Ganon? Nay, not Ganondorf, but GANON?

Infiltrating the Gerudo Fortress. I'm so easily lost in there.

those accursed wallmasters scare even to this day just seein urself grabbed by the head by sum dismembered weird ass zombiefied hand in need of a major manicure just creeeeeeeeeeps me out!

redeads are so fun, i purposefully go thru town just to kill them lol.

the water temple is so easy if you get a key you can skip 90% of it lol
but dark link is the hardest boss in the game-hes too beastly to be just a mini-boss you gotta categorize him as a boss XD
& morpheel drives me nuts i cant hit a bubble lol.

the forest temple: hello? wallmaster central,the accursed hands drive me nuts! and phantom ganon is a pain in the ass.

ganons tower when ur runnin out of it ugg i need the bloody hover boots to last longer lol.

ganondorf is a pain in the butt,but i hear you can beat him wit an empty bottle lol

no. no you are not.

I had the strategy guide.

And I still missed a key in the water temple. The one in that tall room in the middle of the main room of the temple. I had to go all the way back and lower the water level to get back in there again. I feel so stupid.

Oh, and I thought it would be a great idea to fight ganondorf with nothing but fairies. I ran out of magic right before dealing the final blow. ...and during that fight, I kept falling to the bottom of the area with the pots. I didn't have any fairies for Ganon. Oh god that was scary.

My worst moments were all the timers in the game. I get really stressed and if I have to beat a time, or look at time timer to try and do something before it runs out.
That and anything that has to do with Floormasters/Wallmasters..
