MM 6-day Challenge/Your cycle records.

I just beat the Majora's Mask 6-day Challenge today. It was such a thrill and I may do it again in the near future

What are all of your records as far as the number of cycles go? How many three day cycles has it taken you to beat the game in the least amount? Have you attempted, or beat the 6-day challenge? (All w/o hacking, Austin )

I would say the hardest part is getting Epona by the end of the first day, considering everything you have to do.

I don't know why you would want to rush a game like this, It's better to explore and enjoy the scenarios

Looking for some help here: Are there any extra things you can do on the first three days to help with the following three days?

Collect rupees and 4 heat pieces. (You can use a glitch to escape Clock Town, but you won't get far.)

4 Heart pieces? The only two I can think of are the Deku game and the treasure chest game. Could you tell me what the other two are?

Edit: Nvm, the other two are the toilet hand one and the one on the clock tower (can't believe I forgot that one).

1 right in front of the area where the stairs to the top of the clock appears, and the other ... un I think its up the slide and jump across to the left, you will have to walk up the slide part.

Edit: there we go, I forgot about the hand lol. it plays much a minor role tho.

Re: MM 6-day Challenge/Your cycle records.

Hold on...from the first 3 day cycle, as Deku Link Heart pieces:
-Clock Tower entrance
-Park Slide
-Deku mini game
-Toilet Hand (XD)
-Top of tree in swamp area (using escape Clock Town glitch.)

@KingofHeart: pretty freaking hard. I used a 6-day challenge guide for the most part. Basically the hardest part is getting Epona before night of the first day.

Re: MM 6-day Challenge/Your cycle records.

Its really not that hard, I can do it without even trying. If I tried I can probably finish it before the 2nd day but I usually get gilded sword so it ends on the 3rd.

Also since you were talking about heart pieces, you can only get the treasure game HP with goron mask.

Well then you're an incredibly gifted and coordinated genious. And thanks, i'll edit that out. How do you get the Gilded Sword in a quick run?

Really? Anyways I'd rather not use any glitches. So that makes only three pieces I can get. I guess I'll just do the Dodonogo piece really quickly in my second cycle.

Re: MM 6-day Challenge/Your cycle records.

Well to be fair I usually use glitches but even without its not that hard. For getting gilded you just need to beat snowhead before the 2nd day. Theres not much you have to do to get to woodfall so you should get there before 10 am, finish by no later than 3 pm. Getting to and beating snowhead you can finish sometime after midnight if you're good. If you still can't beat snowhead before 2nd day you might just want to get the bow from woodfall then head to snowhead and beat woodfall later (gilded can take down odolwa in under 10 seconds with quickspins). In fact its actually faster that way because fire arrows skip a few puzzles and if woodfall isn't your first dungeon beat it skips a long cutscene with tatl (it doesn't count towards game time but its annoying). If its closer to the 2nd day after snowhead then just get razor then and get the gold dust on the 2nd day. If you have trouble with great bay and ikana stuff then you might want to do some of that to kill time until the 3rd day to get gilded later.

HERE. He really needs to work on his typing, and he basically worships "Dragorn" (the one who posted videos of him doing the challenge on which the guide is based off of). But it's actually quite useful. It's unfinished, it goes up to Stone Tower.

EDIT: So far he stopped right after finishing the Stone Tower Temple right-side up. I just did the upside-down portion on my own as well as defeating Majora.

Is the gilded sword necessary? Also can you get Epona on any day?

The Gilded Sword isn't necessary. It also makes things quite harder to go without a sword until the Third Day, depending on what you do. You can only get Epona on the First Day, (before night-time).

EDIT: Granted, you COULD do all the parts that don't really depend mostly on Link's swordplay for the Second Day, and wait until the Third to finish temples and whatnot. You would have enough time if you slowed down time.

Re: MM 6-day Challenge/Your cycle records.

Has anyone ever done a "good deed run"? (I made that name up just now) It was something I was thinking of trying. Basicly just clearing the game as normal up to the point of having done everything bar entering the Moon and then resetting back to the first day and doing beating all the bosses and doing all the sidequests in three days. Defeating all the bosses (to lift the curses on the areas) and doing everything in the Bomber's notebook. That way you can help everyone without having to go back and erase the good deeds. I guess it's almost the opposite of the 6-day challenge.
