Completely undiscovered recovery heart in OoT

I have never seen another person find this, but in OoT, there is a hidden ledge in Dodongo's Cavern. It's in the room where you first fight lizafols (1st floor, not 2nd.) I don't remember the exact location, but it's behind the lava waterfall. I've never tried it, but I think the lens of truth may show it to you. If you try that and can't find it, just jump from either the first or second platform to the right of the entrance (the one next to the lavafall.) Jump towards the lavafall and you'll find it.

It's after the bend in the fall. I promise you it's there. Just jump from one of the platforms and you'll find it. If you miss, try again. Hell, walk over to it. The lava barely hurts you, anyway.



But all there is in this ledge is one heart. Just a recovery heart. But when I found it, I was like "Woah....never saw THIS before!"


To my knowledge, I'm currently the only person in, well...ever to find this.

It's a recovery heart. A discovery, yes, but for nothing more than a recovery heart. Few, if anyone, will find this information to be even remotely helpful in any way whatsoever.

i found a secret heart piece there. dont know if that counts

Surely the Powers That Be knew it was there? They did put it there.

It doesn't have a point. It's just amazing how NO ONE found this. GUIDEBOOKS don't even tell you!
Although...if you needed another heart, you could get one here.

And Nintendo staff doesn't count. I meant other gamers don't know.

I usually wouldn't make a thread about one discovery, but this one is so unknown that I felt it necessary to make a thread.

Goes to show you that there's always something to discover in Zelda.

Uh, how much damage does the lava hurt you by? If it's half a heart then you would get hit twice, making the healing heart useless. They should of placed a high priced rupee if they're going to make you hurt yourself to get an item.

You can just jump to it.

Jumping through that lavafall does zero damage.

Precisely. The lavafall is harmless, and you can jump straight through.

It's quite true, there is always something new to discover in Zelda.

Weird, they just stuck a random cave in the lava flow, maybe it was something left over from the beta version of the dungeon.

True, there's litttle point in it, but don't you find it interesting that there are still little details in these games that people are discovering for the first time?
