MM: All Possible Endings

Epic spoiler alert - Only read this thread if you have beaten Majora's Mask.

I know that there are at least two ending sequences to Majora's Mask, but I have heard that there are also two others.

From what I understand, the following ending sequences are possible:

• Time runs out and the moon destroys Termina.
• Link defeats Majora, and there is a "Dawn of a New Day".
• Link defeats Majora without ever receiving the Fierce Deity mask. The Fierce Deity mask appears in the credits.
• Link plays the Oath to Order before freeing all four giants. The giants that have been freed try to stop the moon, but fail.

I have watched the first two endings in person, but hadn't even heard about the last two endings (in bold) until recently. Does anybody have videos of these endings - I would love to watch them!

That's truly awesome. I love that you can actually see the giant struggling to hold up the moon during the last minute of the battle - epic! That's exactly the kind of small thing that makes Zelda games so enjoyable. It's kind of lame that the giant doesn't appear in the destruction sequence, but it's definitely made up for by the giant's visibility from the top of the clock tower.

Also, I think that if you don't retrieve the Fierce Deity Mask by failing to find every mask in the game, all of the masks that you didn't find will appear in the credits. You only see the whole ending credits video (showing everyone you helped in your adventure) if you have all of the masks.

Interesting, I never saw this ending. I'm always learning something new in MM, they really added a lot of depth to the game.

Never knew about those other 2 endings, That song that plays when it shows the wedding mask during the credits video is creepy. I really wish they would remake this game. I love it

lol!! epic embarrassment for the giant!! He comes out all mighty and powerful, then bails out on Link when he sees that he's not strong enough!

Love the ending when not all the giants are there. That was the only one I haven't seen before.

I saw this ending a long time ago, a friend of mine did this after the second or third temple and they couldn't hold the moon's weight. It's pretty neat.

I've seen all four. I do the less than four giants thing sometimes, though I usually play the Song of Time before the crash. Once I played collecting as few masks as possible, it changed the credits to not show all the scenes but show the scene related mask instead, I don't think the Fierce Deity's Mask was among them, but I'm not sure it's been so long. The credits are pretty lame that way, so after that I've always collected all the masks.
